Connecting people Transport improves the quality of life for all Europeans
In 2012, private households in the EU-28 spent 967 bn in transport related activities, divided as following: 54.5 % USE OF VEHICLES 967 bn 25.8 % BUY VEHICLES 19.6 % TICKETS On average this is 13 % of a household income, about the same as we spend on food and non-alcoholic drinks but far more than we set aside for education (1 %).
