These young women have very serious histories of victimization and other trauma, suicidal ideation, significant conduct problems, and related comorbidity. Because these young women typically come from complicated and chaotic backgrounds, family involvement and attention to the nuances and details of discharge planning receive special emphasis from the beginning of each young woman s stay. Becket Auburn only provides services to young women who have proved challenging elsewhere. Each young woman receives a minimum of 90 minutes of clinical services (individual and/or family therapy) weekly. Because these clients often have trouble tolerating extended sessions, our clinical team provides flexible scheduling and is often available during odd hours.
