DNA Controls and Primers for PCR ABI s DNA controls can be used as positive controls in nucleic acid amplification reactions. Quantitated controls can also be used to generate standard curves for quantitative PCR assays, and in real-time quantitated PCR to determine the copy number of unknown samples. The preparations from whole virus, virus infected cells, or cultured bacteria, allow researchers to amplify or test any region of the genome which is present in natural infections. Additionally, PCR primers are available to complement select DNA controls. Native & Recombinant Viral Proteins ABI s Purified Native Viral Proteins are whole viral antigens that have been immunoaffinity purified from clarified infected cell extracts. ABI offers purified native viral proteins from virus-infected cell culture, isolated from conditioned cell culture medium, inactivated by Triton X-100, and then purified by immunoaffinity chromatography or reverse phase HPLC to >95% purity. Our EBNA-1 Purified Recombinant Protein is a full-length EBNA-1 gene cloned and produced in a Baculovirus protein expression system. EBNA-1 is then purified by ion-exchange chromatography to >95% purity.
