Tiers Initial License 3 years Pass PRAXIS I & II Graduated from a regional accredited program approved by state Continuing License- 5 years Principals often come in on a continuing license since they have 3 years of teaching on the beginning license Description Participation in a mentoring program Satisfactory performance appraisals 90-clock hours of approved professional development Satisfactory performance appraisals If the educator moves from teacher to administrator they must participate in a coaching/mentoring program Advanced License --10 years National Board Certification
