1. Manage customer billing AIT s Billing Director is integrated with the SMT 4.0. This application allows you to provide your customers online billing information, such as email invoices, as well as a web interface for support ticket information. At this time, Billing Director is free of charge. To order your Free Billing Directory, go to https://order.aitcom.net, login and order this free service. The link in your control panel is to your billing manager that is configured for your server. It is a secure interface that requires login as well as being encrypted with an SSL certificate for your protection. The user s guide for Billing Director will be available on our support home page at http://ait.com/support/ 2. Provision web services a. Add a virtual host 1. Click on Provision web services 2. Click on Add virtual host. 3. Input the domain name for this new virtual host. 4. By default the home directory will be domain.com without the.com. If you choose to use a different directory name change it at this time. 5. Click the submit button. This virtual host domain will be setup on your server within 15 minutes. The domain will be added to DNS within 12 hours. If the domain name has not had its nameservers modified prior to this, they will need to be updated. b. Password protect a directory The complete directions for this operation are contained in the control panel itself. c. Enable virtual host logs 1. Click on Provision web services. 2. Click on Enable Vhost logs. 3. Click on the button Show list. 4. From the drop down menu, select the domain you wish to turn logs on for. 5. Click on the button

d. Change password for PPD (Password Protected Directory) 1. Click on Provision web services. 2. Click on Change Password for PPD. 3. Input the username, password, and confirm the password. 4. Click the button Submit. 5. FTP to the server. 6. Go to the /usr/local/etc/ directory 7. Download the htpasswd file to your local machine in Ascii mode. 8. Open this file in notepad or similar text editor. 9. Find the first entry of the username you just changed and remove the entire line. 10. Save this file to your local machine and upload it back to the same location. e. Create Usernames for PPD 1. Click on Provision web services. 2. Click on Change Password for PPD. 3. Input the username, password, and confirm the password. 4. Click the button Submit. f. Install msql 1. From your control panel, click on Provision web services 2. Click on Install msql. You will receive the success message and the port your msql database is using for access. g. Install mysql Please contact customer support at http://support.aitcom.net and we can install mysql for you in a short time with no cost to you. 3. Manage web services a. Delete virtual host 2. Click on Delete virtual host. 3. Select the radio button associated with the virtual host to be deleted. 4. Click the button Delete VH. 5. Click the button OK when the warning pops up. b. Edit virtual host

2. Click on Edit virtual host. 3. Select the radio button associated with the virtual hosts to be modified. 4. Click the button Rename VH, Reactivate VH, or Deactivate VH as applicable. c. Reset logs 1. Click on Reset logs. This tool allows to you delete any log files on your webserver contained in the /www/logs directory. This is a great way to keep your disk space under control. 2. Select the logs to be reset (deleted). 3. Click the button Submit. The logs will automatically be regenerated as people visit the website the logs are for. In the case of error logs, these will only be regenerated when errors occur. d. Change server password 2. Click on Change server password. 3. Input the password, and confirm the password. 4. Click the button Submit. Note: This changes both your cpanel password and your master FTP login password. e. Web stats analyzer This link takes you directly to the web stats analyzer for your server if you ve installed it. You must install this application first in order to use it. You can do this under the Provision Applications sub menu. f. Untar a file 2. Click on Untar a file. 3. Input the path to the file to be untarred. 4. Input the path to the location you d like the untarred files placed. 4. Click the button Submit. g. Manage website backup service This service is not free and must be ordered first in order to work. 2. Click on Manage website backup service. 3. To backup your account: Click on the Backup File System button. This will archive your entire site and directory structure. You are allowed 4 of these per month 4. To restore your account from a backup: Click on the button Restore Archives and select which archive you d like to restore from. You can restore as many times as you like per month.

h. Check perl script for errors 2. Click on Check perl script for errors 3. Input the path to the script on your server. 4. Click on the Submit button. The errors found will be reported on the following page. i. Set all CGI scripts to executable 2. Click on Sete all CGI scripts to executable. 3. All of the files in your cgi-bin located at /www/cgi-bin now have their permissions set to 755 which is required for them to operate correctly. j. Start or Restart msql server 2. Click on Start/Restart msql server. Your msql server has been restarted or started for the f first time. k. Stop msql server 2. Click on Stop msql server. Your msql server has been stopped. 4. Provision mail services a. Add email account 1. Click on Provision mail services. 2. Click on Add email accounts. 3. Input the username for the pop account. 4. Input the domain name that this pop account is to be used with. 5. Input their Real name. This is great to keep track of who is using what e email account. 6. Input the Password 7. Confirm the password 8. Select if this account will be also allowed FTP or not. 9. Input the FTP home directory if they are allowed FTP. 10. Click on Create new POP user b. Setup email forwarding (aliasing) 1. Click on Provision mail services. 2. Click on Setup email forwarding.

3. Input the alias name. 4. From the drop down menu select which domain name this alias is for. 5. Select if the email will be forwarded to a POP account on your server or an e external POP account. 6. If a local account, then from the drop down menu, select which POP account will receive the mail. 7. If an external account, input the external email address. 8. Click on the button Add new alias. c. Add auto responder 1. Input the Username (Example: username@yourdomain.com) This is where people will be sending email that you desire to have an autoresponder sent. 2. Input the email address that the inbound email from your visitors is f forwarded to. 3. Input the email address that you wish for the recipient of your autoresponder email to reply to. 4. Input the name of the file you want sent as the body of the autoresponder message. (Example: auto.txt) 5. Input the subject line the autoresponder email message will have. 6. Click on button Add d. Add mail list 1. Click on Provision mail services. 2. Click on Change server password. 3. Input the password, and confirm the password. 4. Click the button Submit. 5. Manage mail Services. a. Manage email account 1. Click on Manage Mail Services 2. Click on Manage Email Accounts 3. Select email address from the drop menu to be edited. 4. Click on the Select User button. 5. Click on the Modify User button. 6. Make changes as needed, select Modify the user button. b. Ad email aliasing 1. Click on Manage Mail Services 2. Click on Manage Email Forwarding 3. Enter the email address to Alias, then select the domain name from the drop menu. 4. Select Pop3 if you are aliasing on the same server, and External Email account if going to another provider (like AITAccess). 5. If selecting to Alias to this server, select the final drop box from the drop menu. 6. If selecting to Alias to an external server, enter the email address question. 7. Select Add New Alias

c. Delete an Alias. 1. Click on Manage Mail Services 2. Click on Manage Email Forwarding 3. Click on View Aliases button 4. Click on Alias you wish to delete. d. Remove an auto responder 1. Click on Manage Mail Services 2. Click on Remove auto responder 3. Enter the email address of the auto responder in Enter A User Name 4. Select Remove button below. e. Manage Mail list 1. Click on Manage Mail Services 2. Click on Manage Mail Lists 3. Select the Action you wish to take 4. Select available Mailing List 5. Enter the Username you wish to add to the list, hit SUBMIT. 6. Click on the button submit f. Reset Anti-Relay File (Clears IP list of those allowed to send email) 1. Click on "Manage Mail Services" 2. Select "Reset Anti-Relay File g. Spam Prevention Tool (Block Unwanted Email) 1. Click on "Manage Mail Services" 2. Click on "Spam Prevention Tool" 3. Enter the email address or IP of the offender 4. select "GO" to add the Blocked Email Address. 5. For more information on identifying the offender to ensure you are blocking correctly, see our customer service library. 6. Provision Applications a. Install shopping cart 1. Click on Provision Services under Applications. 2. Click on Install Shopping Cart. 3. Input the directory in the Directory to install/upgrade shop in: textbox. example : /www/htdocs/mcart 4. Input the URL that people will use to enter your shop in the URL for this directory textbox. example: http://yourdomain.com/mcart 5. Enter a user name for the shopping cart admin panel. 6. Enter a password for the shopping cart administration panel. 7. Verify the password for the shopping cart administration panel. 8. Select Setup Shop b. Install web stats analyzer 1. Click on Provision Services under Applications. 2. Click on Install Web Stats Analyzer. 3. Enter a user name for Web Stats 4. Enter a password for Web Stats. 5. Select submit. c. Install webmail for virtual host

1. Click on Provision Services under Applications. 2. Click on Install Webmail for Virtual Host. 3. Enter the virtual host domain name. 4. Enter the path in which to install Webmail for the virtual host. example: /www/htdocs/virtualhostfolder/webmail. 5. Enter a user name for the administrator of the virtual host webmail. 6. Enter a password for the administrator of the virtual host webmail.. 7. Verify the password for the administrator of the virtual host webmail. 8. Select submit. 9. The url for webmail will be virtualhostname.com/webmail. d. Install web stats analyzer for virtual host 1. Access the control panel with the virtual host domain name. example: v virtualhost.com/cpanel 2. Click on Provision Services under Applications. 3. Click on Install Web Stats Analyzer. 4. Enter a user name for Web Stats 5. Enter a password for Web Stats. 6. Verify the password for the virtual host. 7. Select submit. e. Install msql 1. From your control panel, click on Provision web services 2. Click on Install msql. You will receive the success message and the port your msql database is using for access. f. Install support Queue 1. Click on Provision Services under Applications. 2. Select Install Support Queue/CRM. 3. Enter the support system name. This will appear at the top of the support page. 4. Enter a support email alias such as support@domain.com 5. Enter a billing email alias such as billing@domain.com. 6. Enter a webmaster alias such as webmaster@domain.com. 7. Enter a user name for the support queue. 8. Enter a password for the support queue. 9. Enter an email address the support tickets will be sent to once viewed. 10. Select submit to install the support queue. g. Install FrontPage 2002 for virtual host 1. Click on Provision Services under Applications. 2. Select Install Front Page 2002 for Virtual Host 3. Enter the virtual host domain name or select from the display list. 4. Enter a user name for the virtual host. 5. Enter a password for the virtual host. 6. Enter the path to the virtual host or select from the display list. 7. Select Add the User. h. Install file manager for virtual host 1. Click on Provision Services under Applications.

2. Click on Install File Manager for Virtual Host. 3. Enter a user name for the virtual host. 4. Enter a password for the virtual host. 5. Verify the password for the virtual host. 6. Enter the virtual host domain name. 7. Enter the maximum number of megabytes for disk usage. 8. Enter the directory of the virtual host. example: / www/htdocs/virtualhostfolder 9. Select Install. i. Private label DNS 1. Private label DNS is free for all I-MHIP class servers. 2. You ll need to register your nameservers that your going to use. Domain registrars to not charge a fee for this and the majority of them allow you to do this online without any paperwork. 3. Nameserver registration can occur only with the domain registrar where you have the domain name registered that you're going to use. Example: If I have joeswebservices.com registered with AIT domains, I will have to register ns0.joeswebservices.com and ns1.joeswebservices.com with AITdomains. 4. When registering your nameservers use ns0. and IP address 208.234.1.34 for ns1. and IP address 216.117.186.139 5. Everytime you add a virtual host through the SMT, the DNS record will be added within 12 hours automatically. 7. Manage Applications a. Manage FTP Accounts. 1. Click on Manage Applications 2. Select Manage FTP Accounts 3. Select FTP from the drop menu to be edited. 4. Click on the Select User button. 5. Click on the Modify User button. 6. Make changes as needed, select Modify the User button. b. Setup Anonymous FTP 1. click on "Manage Applications" 2. Click on "Setup Anonymous FTP User" 3. Scroll down and enter the directory of choice for Anonymous FTP Directory.. 4. Select Enable Anonymous FTP c. Edit FTP Login Message 1. Click on Manage Applications 2. Select "Edit FTP Login Message" 3. Scroll to bttom of screen. 4. Select "Change FTP Login Message" 5. Enter the message you wish to change it to. 6. Select "Update Login Message" d. Webstats Analyzer (if installed) 1. Click on Manage Applications 2. Select Webstats Analyzer 3. Select "Run Stats"

4. Select "View Stats" 5. Please note this will only work if webalizer is already installed. e. Billing Director (If installed) 1. Click on "Manage Applications" 2. Select "Billing Director" 3. See Billing Director User's guide for specifics. <http://ait.com/docs/help/users_manuals/billing_director.zip> f. Webmail (If installed) 1. Click on "Manage Applications" 2. Select "Webmail" 3. Enter the username/password of the account. g. Etools (If Ordered) 1. Click on "Manage Applications" 2. Select "Etools" 3. use functions as desired. h. Premium Tech Support 1. Click on "Manage Applications" 2. Select "Premium Tech Support" 3. Signup or login as needed. i. Utilize DBmanager 1. Click on "Manage Applications" 2. Select "Utilize DBmanager" 3. Operate according to DBManager's User's guide <http://ait.com/docs/help/users_manuals/dbmanager_users_guide.zip> j. Manage Payment Gateway 1. Click on "Manage Applications" 2. Select "Manage Payment Gateway" 3. Login as your username/password, and process real time transactions! 8. Bandwidth Usage By clicking this link you can view your daily, monthly, weekly, and quarterly bandwidth usage for your server with AIT. The report tracks the following services specifically HTTP, FTP, SMTP, & POP.

9. Server Environment a. Here you will find the current versions of the software and add-on applications running on your server. b. You can click on Click to View, immediately next to Installed Perl Modules to see the list of those installed on your server. c. You may also desire to see the disk usage for your account. This can be accomplished by clicking on Click to View, immediately next to Detailed Disk Utilization. d. For your convenience, we ve also added an 80% disk usage notification email function. e. Notice the snapshot graph on the lower left that tells you how much of your disk space was in use as of midnight last night. f. The path to Perl is: /usr/bin/perl g. The path to Sendmail is: /bin/sendmail
