SIGINT PAYLOAD OVERVIEW (1/3) The Payload is constituted by: 2 antennas circular polarized, 2 SIGINT (ELINT & COMINT) electronic unit Harness between antennas and SIGINT electronic units Frequency band stretches between 200 MHz and 2,5 GHz with a DOA measurement capability Each electronic unit is composed of the following sub- units: Payload Receiver Sub- unit Payload Power Converter Sub- unit Payload Processing and C&C Sub- unit Operating Modes: Stand- by mode Acquisition mode 2

SIGINT PAYLOAD OVERVIEW (2/3) ELINT Products: data result from the ELINT signal processing Signal Descriptor Words (SDW): The SDW contains different synthetic parameters of the intercepted signal (date of arrival in order to locate the signal on ground, pulse width, frequency measurements, level). The parameters are measured only when there is a signal detection in the Signal Measuring Detector. The analyzed frequency bandwidth (ELINT frequency channel) is covered with several Signal Measuring Detector. ELINT Noise Measurements (ENM): Noisemeasurements allow on board payload softwareto adjust the receiver noise power to the coding range of the ADC. Noise measurements allow also detection threshold control. These measurements may be useful on ground to calculate Signal NoiseRatio (SNR). Position Speed and Time (PST) data: necessary on ground to locate the intercepted signals usingdoppler measurement techniques on thefrequency and on thepulse. COMINT Products: data result from the COMINT signal processing 04/09/2015 COMINT Acquisition Samples (CAS): The COMINT intermediary frequency signal (output of thepayload receiver) isanalog to digitalconverted (ADC 12bits). COMINT Noise Measurements (CNM): Noise measurements allow on board payload software to adjust the receiver noise power to the coding rangeof the ADC. These noise measurements maybe useful on ground to calculate SignalNoise Ratio (SNR). Position Speed and Time (PST) data: necessary on ground to locate the intercepted signals using DOA technics. PROSES (Study, Design and Validation of an ELINT Satellite System) PNRM 2013 Main objectives: study of an ELINT end- to- end System, based on Microsatellites; development of a demonstrator representative of ELINT System, used to validate the main functionalities & performances. Demonstrator: modular and flexible BB, based on a wideband receiver around a digital processing core.
