Arrangetransportationinthemannermostappropriateforyourschoolandregion.While manyareascharterschoolbusses,someschoolsrequirecoachestoreserveanddrive vans,whilestillothersrequirefamiliestofindtheirownwaytotournaments.withtransportation,there areoftenseveralliabilityissues,sobeabsolutelyclearonyourschool spolicies. Regardless,makesurethesearrangementsaremadewellinadvanceofthe tournamentsyouattend. 27. Registerpromptlyandaccurately.Manycoachesrequirestudentstosignupforeachtournament,to indicatetheiravailabilityandreadiness.ifclasscreditisinvolved,there softena contract oragreement thatparentssign,acknowledgingthatattendanceatacertainnumberoftournamentsisattachedtothe student sgrade.tournamentshaveregistrationdeadlines oftenatleastaweekprior,andearlierfor largertournaments.schoolswhohosttournamentsplanmuchinthesamewayasforawedding:ordering foodforparticipantsandcoaches/judges,determininguseofrooms,orderingawards,makingsureenough custodialstaffisavailable,etc.anytimecoachesarelateorinaccuratewithregistration,theycontributeto degradingtheefficiencyofthewholetournament.pleasebeateamplayerwithyourcolleagues.readthe specialproceduresandrulesforeachparticulartournamentandfollowinstructionscarefully. 29. Makesureyourschoolissuesacheckforthetournamentpromptly.Manytournamentsrequirepayment whenyouenter;somerequireitwhenyouarrivewithyourstudents. 30.
