Program Goals and Objectives: Management Information Systems (MIS) provides a background in the field of business and technology. An MIS professional utilizes technology to produce quality information for an organization. The MIS degree is intended to provide a pathway to earn a Bachelor s degree in Management Information Systems. A degree in MIS provides students with an understanding and skills in business communications, accounting, economics, business law, statistics, mathematics, computer information systems and programming to properly prepare a student to transfer to the CSU system. The combination of growth in the field and growth in annual completion indicates this is a strong program with plenty of room for growth. 6. Place of Program in Curriculum/Similar Programs This program uses many of the course currently found in Business, Math, and CSIT discipline s. It does not replace any programs in the curriculum. However, it organizes the courses into a new degree that will transfer to many 4 year universities in California. 7.
