03 What does the Health & Wellbeing Scheme offer? Telephone and face-to-face counselling It can sometimes be hard to discuss health concerns or worries with family, friends or colleagues. That s when it may be helpful to speak to a trained counsellor in complete confidence, who can support you in dealing with concerns such as bereavement, anxiety or depression. At these times it s reassuring to know that Capita is one of the UK s leading providers of telephone counselling services and provides a 24-hour service accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Capita s counsellors can help with a wide range of issues: work related problems including stress, workplace relationships, bullying and harassment emotional worries including anxiety, stress, depression and low self esteem family and relationship concerns substance misuse and dependency counselling and bereavement lifestyle, exercise, diet and general wellbeing advice Health checks Having regular check-ups can help you identify possible health risks early and take preventative steps to protect your wellbeing. Nurse-led health check Arrange an appointment with one of 370 fully trained nurses to conduct a health check assessment at your home or place of work. Essential clinic health check This focuses on your cardiovascular fitness and overall wellbeing. You will receive a health risk assessment and lifestyle advice. The tool also allows you to set and track health goals, such as improving your fitness, losing weight or regulating your sleep patterns. Free Online Library and Health Guide You can access the BMA Complete Home Medical Guide by Dorling Kindersley for information on almost any medical topic. There s also an Online Library with information on issues that may be affecting your home and work life or your emotional or physical health - from anger management to having a baby or dealing with weight problems.
