MEA provided me with a much welcomed mental framework for the myriad of concepts I was discovering in the EA world. Also, hearing about others experience with EA was fascinating. I enjoyed our assertive group and its passionate discussions with lecturers and practitioners. The informal setting, the critical minds, the green surroundings, the nice meals, etc. all contributed to making MEA a unique experience with a definite impact. Antoon Goderis ICT Architect at KBC To me, this Master was a wonderful cocktail of professors coming up with the academic foundation, experienced practitioners sprinkling hints of pragmatism, and motivated fellow students with whom I held animated discussions. The structure of the programme was outstanding, with courses ranging from a company s strategy, across to various architectural disciplines, and up to governance. This Master gave me a good overall picture and has made me an even better match for my new position at Colruyt Group. Marc Vandeperre Division Manager Architecture at Colruyt Group At the end of an enriching rollercoaster ride, holding your breath when discovering new concepts, exploring in detail the whole EA landscape, experiencing a multitude of new insights, being guided by subject-matter experts with an academic or business background sharing their experience, viewing the world as you knew it from a different angle during a looping, longing for a bigger female touch, enjoying the exchange of ideas and company of your co-riders at every turn, getting dizzy from all these impressions you just want to ride again. Lieve De Block Enterprise Architect at Axa Bank Belgium Enterprise Architecture means Impact As an architect, you want to achieve a 360 impact. You need to rebalance the entire ecosystem in which you are working. This means working on the content, process and context and getting people on board and decisions approved. The Master of ICT Enterprise Architecture is the only programme that focuses on the role of Enterprise Architect, providing the student with theoretical and practical knowledge required to achieve the desired impact.the emphasis is on research, complemented by techniques and skills. Theory and Practice The course is equally divided between theory and practice. Theories, techniques and methodologies are explained and applied to practical cases. These include existing cases introduced by visiting lecturers, or cases to be solved by the students. Each module consists of contact hours, a study of the scientific literature and individual or group assignments. The course is concluded with a Master thesis, in which the student must demonstrate the ability to approach an architectural problem in a scientific way. Target Audience This programme is aimed at professionals who wish to increase their impact via ICT Enterprise Architecture in a role involving ICT architecture, management, and project or programme management.
