About VTCT VTCT is a specialist awarding organisation for the Sport, Active Health & Fitness sector. Our full qualification package also covers Beauty Therapy, Hairdressing & Barbering, Complementary Therapies, Hospitality & Catering and Business Support. VTCT is a Government approved awarding organisation offering National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) and other Vocationally Related Qualifications (VRQs). VTCT has awarded world class qualifications since 1962 and has been at the forefront of developing the vocational system of qualifications in the United Kingdom. VTCT also awards qualifications internationally; countries include Italy, Malta, Cyprus, Kenya, India and South Africa. Further expansion into overseas markets is one of VTCT s goals. VTCT is involved in many of the new initiatives being introduced into the education system including the Specification of Apprenticeship Standards for England (SASE)/Wales (SASW), the embedding of Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS), Principal Learning Wales, and Wider Essential Skills Wales. At the same time we are keeping abreast of many other developments in line with Government reform. VTCT will continue to strengthen its presence in the vocational qualifications market in the United Kingdom, where qualifications from VTCT are offered at over 700 colleges of further education and private training centres. Our vision is to become the lead specialist awarding organisation for the service industries. VTCT is a charitable organisation and has helped many charities and projects with grants, ranging from 5,000 up to 2 million, specifically in the fields of education and physical disfigurement.
