Abstracts Monday, June 2 This year, we are pleased to offer a special trio of hands-on sessions that will show you how Intergraph solutions support you through various stages of the asset lifecycle. We call it the Asset Lifecycle Triple Play. The first session is a paid training, but the other two sessions are complimentary, but space is limited so please come early to avoid disappointment. 1501: Asset Lifecycle Triple Play 1: Using SmartPlant Fusion SmartPlant Fusion enables the rapid capture and indexing of unstructured, legacy data sources such as documents, drawings, and the tag data contained within them. SmartPlant Fusion builds on SmartPlant Foundation's well-known, structured information-handling capabilities to capture and present the valuable information contained in your existing documentation (scanned images, PDF files, vendor documents, and CAD files) via an intuitive portal environment. To cope with the many formats of information sources, systems must be able to handle both structured and unstructured information but in a managed way. SmartPlant Fusion makes use of various technologies for extracting intelligence from a myriad of document types using technologies such as OCR and intelligent format recognition. New aliasing capabilities enable searching and graphical navigation across the entire set of information, even if the tag/asset name is slightly different on various documents. This session will give attendees a chance to use SmartPlant Fusion to search for and display a captured set of documents, drawings, and tags. Next, students will be shown how to configure and capture an additional set of unstructured engineering data. 1000: The Disruptive Power of Transformation The world isn t just changing; it s changing at an accelerated rate. Connectedness is forever changing the business landscape. The speed at which new technologies emerge and the complete datafication of our world are simply mind-boggling. So the question for organisations seeking quick response to any challenge or opportunity remains: Do we want a better version of now or something completely new? Where change improves the past (better, faster, cheaper), transformation creates the future a shift so drastic it invents a new reality. In this keynote, Ola Rollén, Hexagon President and CEO, will address some of the trends creating widespread disruption in the engineering and geospatial industries, giving context to the transformation opportunities ahead. Together with the company s divisional presidents, several of Hexagon s leading customers and partners will join Rollén to share stories of how they re putting valuable data to meaningful use. They will discuss what they re doing to ensure they have the right information and tools to not only improve, but drive transformation across their business and industry. How we choose to shape the waves of change will either drive or disrupt our future. A future that s ours to invent. Employee speaker: Ola Rollen, President 4

2607: SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators: Information Management Strategy with Focus on Operational and Maintenance Excellence at Lumina Copper Lumina Copper is operating a major new copper mine in Chile called Caserones, with an initial capital investment of US$4.2 billion. It has developed a comprehensive strategy for managing the large volume of complex information coming from its EPC contractors and using that information to operate and maintain the facility. This strategy centers on SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators (SPO) and involves project information handover, integration of engineering data and deliverables coming from EPC contractors, and data extraction from other sources (using OCR, text pattern matching, etc.). This session will explore how this information has been organized and managed with SPO during operations and maintenance and will specifically cover management of change, laser scanning and GeoTagging, and virtual training using Samahnzi 3D PACT. These are some of the elements of Lumina Copper's program for Operational Excellence. The session will also showcase the importance of starting an information management strategy with a good Gap Analysis. Speakers: Gonzalo Araujo, Development Manager, Caserones Project; Patricio Soto, Smart Design Solutions Manager, Pixis; Roberto Gonzalez, Metallurgical Manager, Caserones Project 2703: Partner Session: Owner Operators This session will demonstrate how Intergraph's software partners bring value to the SmartPlant Enterprise with complementary solutions for owner operators. Attendees will hear from several of Intergraph's partners. Employee speaker: Adrian Park, Global Executive Director, Owner Operator Solutions 2352 / 2353: Asset Lifecycle Triple Play 1: Fusion Link: Promoting Fusion Documents and Data to SPO SmartPlant Fusion is the first step to rapidly capture legacy documents and data and make it easily available to those who need access to it. But what if you want to leverage this information in the valuable work processes enabled by SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators (SPO)? Fusion Link is a bridge you can use to promote your documents and data in Fusion to a SPO system. This opens the door to all of the valuable work processes provided by SPO solutions such as Core, Project Execution, Operating Plant, Systems Completion, Requirements Management & Traceability, and SPO Mobile. This is the first in a series of workshops designed to show the data flow initially being captured by Fusion to ultimately being leveraged by SPO Systems Completion and SmartPlant Construction through SPO Handover. This workshop will demonstrate the Fusion Link solution in the context of users transferring a set of Fusion documents and tags to a SPO system. The specific goals of this workshop are to demonstrate creating packages of documents and tags for transfer; automated validations that will be performed and presented to the user; the ability to correct exported documents and tags from Fusion prior to uploading to SPO; transferring the package to SPO; Fusion to SPO mapping concepts; the ability to query in SPO based on Fusion export package references; the ability to perform normal SPO document control operations on documents imported from Fusion (check-in/out, sign off, and revisioning); and the ability to use tags from Fusion in the Mechanical Completions work process. Session 2353 is a repeat of 2352. 2407: Transforming Legacy Data into Structured Engineering Information for Asset Lifecycle Management at PETRONAS PETRONAS Petroleum Management Unit (PMU) has chosen Intergraph's SmartPlant Fusion and SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators (SPO) to resolve its engineering data management challenges. This initiative is executed through the PETRONAS Technology & Engineering (T&E) Division, Petronas Group's in-house technology arm. T&E has rolled out PETRONAS Engineering Data Management System (P-EDMS) for its greenfield capital projects, downstream earlier in the workflow. PMU has extended the rollout to the upstream brownfield and greenfield segments as well. P-EDMS for Upstream is powered by SmartPlant Fusion and SPO. 6

The available datasets for 198 assets, operated by Petronas Carigali in its three regions in Malaysia, are captured and indexed with SmartPlant Fusion. Engineers are now able to easily access their P&IDs, datasheets, and equipment documentation. They can also now see the asset via laser scan imaging with TruView. The captured data is converted using SmartPlant Enterprise applications, with reference to the laser scanning data. The verified data is then loaded into SPO and is now a set of structured engineering information in P-EDMS. The P- EDMS system and its information are maintained by Petronas' Center of Excellence. Speakers: M Nizam M Nasir, Manager - Facilities Engineering, Production & Operations Data, Zohairen Muhamad Sori, Senior Manager - Production & Operations Data, PETRONAS Wednesday, June 4 2001: Digitizing a Large Brownfield Plant and Exploiting the Value of the Digital Plant Asset Many owner operators are beginning to clearly understand the benefits they could realize by truly managing their engineering information and enabling the various functions and disciplines to leverage trustworthy engineering information for their day-to-day operational activities. In a recent survey, approximately 60 percent of owner operators said that ready access to trustworthy information is most critical for process safety management, maintenance, reliability, and modification-related activities. On the other hand, the same percentage of owner operator personnel is not completely confident that they would be able to quickly locate appropriate engineering information in an emergency situation. Told through a real-world example at one of the world s largest power plants, this session will discuss three key questions that most owner operators are grappling with: How can you incrementally create an effective, accurate engineering information asset for brownfield plants that have been operational for many years? How can you minimize the cost and schedule to capture the digital plant asset? How can you maximize the value of that engineering information? If you are an owner operator with brownfield facilities and thinking about strategies for digital assets, or if your company is delivering services in this context, you should attend this keynote. Speakers: Marc Carrel-Billiard; Managing Director, Accenture; Faheem Khan; Mirko Stock, Senior Vice President 2354 / 2355: Using Business Intelligence and Ad-hoc Reporting to View SmartPlant Foundation and SPO Information SmartPlant Foundation and SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators can persist information from a variety of sources. This workshop will show users how to visualize and summarize their data in a graphical way. Attendees will gain hands-on experience of the business intelligence reporting module, a closer look at the existing ad-hoc reporting, and a preview of the new report by example module. Participants in this workshop will experience configuring and executing new business intelligence reports on existing seeded configuration. This includes utilizing the new use runtime values feature and exploring the features available, including mining down into the data. Attendees will learn how to use the new report by example module to build the underlying report views, such as creating new business intelligence reports on top of new views. The workshop will also cover scheduling reports (adhoc) and creating new templates for existing ad-hoc reports. Session 2355 is a repeat of 2354. Employee speaker: Daniel Podolny, Senior Support Engineer 2403: Maximizing the Benefits from Intelligent Data Deliverables Across the Life Cycle of Mega-projects Despite the availability and specified usage of intelligent design tools on mega-projects, data availability remains a constant challenge. This session will discuss common causes and the project benefits of ensuring that the correct 7

data is available for each project group as required, through design to construction and to completions, commissioning, and handover. The role of a central, authoritative data repository as a single source of truth for access to current data and the prerequisites to achieve this will be explained. Attendees will learn from experience from recent mega-projects. Speaker: Peter Nicholson, Executive Director, Information Quality Pty Ltd 2605: Configuration Management Information System (CMIS) Implementation for Nuclear Power in the Czech Republic at ŠKODA JS For more than 50 years, the ŠKODA JS a.s. Company in the Czech Republic has been active in engineering, services, and supplies for the nuclear energy industry. To help ensure that the perspective and development of nuclear energy programs within the company are focused on the future, ŠKODA recently undertook a pilot project to create a demonstration CMIS. Working with Intergraph technical consultants, ŠKODA implemented SPO Core and Requirements Management & Traceability (RM&T) CMIS modules designed specifically for the nuclear power plant environment. This presentation will be a project case study discussing the goals, scope, logistics, challenges, and path forward for configuration management technology on future ŠKODA JS nuclear projects in the Czech Republic and other European countries who embrace nuclear energy in their energy portfolios. Speakers: Roman Zdebor, Quality Management Department Director, SKODA JS a.s., Russell Adams, Industry Consultant 2409: Changing the Face of Project Delivery with the Digital Capital Project With more than US$38 trillion forecast to be spent on energy infrastructure projects through 2035, the time for the digital capital project is upon us. The digital capital project enabled through the technology convergence of social collaboration, mobility, analytics, big data, and cloud is creating new opportunities for changing the face of capital project delivery. In this session, Accenture will introduce how the tools and technologies associated in the digital capital project are being practically applied in delivering capital projects. Speakers: James Arnott, Accenture: Andrew Webster, Accenture 2404: Process Safety Information Strategy for Regulatory Compliance and Operational Excellence / Digital Asset Management of an Offshore Oil Field Base with EDIS This is a two-part session. Process Safety Information Strategy for Regulatory Compliance and Operational Excellence This presentation will share with users how to correctly define a Process Safety Information strategy or Project Blueprint. A correctly defined Project Blueprint can help ensure that regulatory required information is available at startup for operational readiness and onward to safe and sustainable engineering and operational excellence. Attendees will be informed of informational requirements from regulatory bodies worldwide and where the application of SmartPlant Enterprise technology would fit all regulatory compliance needs for handover and ongoing sustainment. In particular, emerging standards in China mandate specific requirements for regulatory approval in all project phases as part of a gating process for a plant s operating permit. In China, these requirements call for all projects executed in China going forward to follow this process. This standard is based on the CCPS 19 Elements, which have been the common denominators of SEMS, PSM, and RMP. These 19 Elements are also used worldwide in various forms to support a specific country s regulatory needs. SmartPlant Enterprise technology configured for these specific requirements for audit and compliance can therefore be reused on any project, by any owner operator, to ensure demonstrable regulatory compliance that avoids plant incidents and reduces risks of regulatory fines. An additional benefit to the wider user community is that this presentation will show how the definition of a Project Blueprint helps focus the handover requirements, and as a result, reduces the overall cost of the project. Digital Asset Management of an Offshore Oil Field Base with EDIS This session will begin with a brief introduction and summary of CNOOC s digitized engineering management procedure based on EDIS and the result of newly built facilities and brownfield facilities data information development in the past three years. Combined with business development and requirements, the session will analyze how to improve EDIS which is based on SmartPlant Foundation and complete the design of an optimization plan and 8

implementation strategy. Attendees will learn about the company s whole life-cycle management of facility equipment integrity perspective, based on the application of EDIS, integration ideas, and long-term vision. Speakers: Harry Lee, Senior Partner, STS Associates; Yong Yu, IT Supervisor, CNOOC 2350: Asset Lifecycle Triple Play 1: Using SPO Handover to Feed SmartPlant Construction SmartPlant Construction is a great solution for planning construction activities, but it depends on data and documents from engineering to maximize its value. Plus, if the engineering and construction contractors are separate organizations, this might require expensive and inefficient data handover strategies. This workshop will feature SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators (SPO) Handover to show the transfer of drawings, models, and data from an engineering system based on SmartPlant Enterprise or SPO to SmartPlant Construction. Participants in this workshop will experience creating a handover package automatically from a system or area; exporting a handover package; importing a handover package using automated import; and retrieving information into SmartPlant Construction and using it to prepare a construction work package. 2405: How Intergraph Partners with ITER to Address One-of-a-kind, Large-scale Nuclear Fusion Power Development Join this session to learn more about the ITER project complexity and how Intergraph solutions such as SmartPlant Materials, SmartPlant Construction, and SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators (SPO) address some key challenges during construction and operational phases. ITER is a large-scale, international scientific experiment that aims to demonstrate that it is possible to produce commercial energy from nuclear fusion using a one-of-a-kind device called Tokamak. The successful integration and assembly of more than one million components (10 million parts), built in the ITER members' factories around the world and delivered to the ITER site in France, constitutes a tremendous logistics and engineering challenge. This includes the assembly of the ITER Tokamak and the parallel installation and integration of plant systems such as radio frequency heating, fuel cycle, cooling water, and high-voltage electrical systems. ITER chose Intergraph to deliver and implement the technology to manage its complex worldwide supply chain; schedule and track its on-site assembly and installation; and manage its technical information and documentation during the construction and operation phases. This presentation will feature the status of the implementation, what will be implemented, and how it will be implemented. A short overview of SmartPlant Materials and SmartPlant Construction will form part of the presentation. The implementation of SPO solutions, including Project Execution and Requirements Management and Traceability will also be explained. Finally, challenges and opportunities will be discussed. ITER s presentation will end with expected benefits to the project implementation. Speakers: Hervé Voilquin, Program Manager, Iter Organization; Jean-Daniel Delaplagne, Data Management Engineer, Iter Organization; Employee Speaker, Sandor Konietzka, EMIA Enterprise Program Manager 9

Thursday, June 5 2002: ConocoPhillips and ENI Discuss How to Establish a Valuable Engineering Information Asset For ConocoPhillips and ENI, correct digital asset information is important to support safe engineering processes like operations, maintenance, and modification. Accelerated operational readiness, integration of acquisitions, increased project complexity, or standardization at the portfolio level are just a few examples for areas where digital and actionable asset information is playing a central role. There are different approaches to establish a high quality engineering information asset. ConocoPhillips will explain how it manages and validates information from engineering contractors during the project phase, how this information is handed over to operations, how it is further maintained, and how it adds value during the various phases. During this session, ConocoPhillips will not only focus on technology aspects but also discuss the importance of people and process change management. ENI will share how a cloud-based service is allowing ENI to foster collaboration between the ENI E&P Engineering & Construction organization (HQ, Tecnomare, and ENI Engineering E&P) as well as multiple engineering contractors during project execution on a global scale. The expected benefits of this 24/7 SaaS model include improved engineering information quality as well as significantly lower cost and complexity of engineering information handover. If you are challenged with high-quality engineering information exchange on complex, global, or multi-vendor projects, hear solutions from industry leaders and make plans to attend this keynote. Speakers: Inger Staalesen, Manager IM/IT and People, Europe Capital Projects, Conoco Phillips; Luciano Salvaneschi, T/S I.C.T. Client Manager,Eni S.p.A. 2401: Orchestrating a High-quality Information Management Result from a Major Capital Project: Lessons Learned What guarantees a successful information management (IM) outcome from a major capital project? This presentation will provide some answers to that challenging question using the experience gained and outcomes from a recent major capital project in the UK North Sea. Most people recognize that a more data-centric approach to projects will produce a better IM result for the project as it is executed and for operations. However, there are many issues to be tackled before this benefit can be realized. This presentation will provide some ideas about what needs to be done before, during, and at the end of a project to help maximize the quality of the IM result for all participants. This session will touch on standards, processes, and systems issues, for what the owner operator should take responsibility, how to engage with and manage the design contractors, and how an owner operator should drive the IM agenda. Lessons learned from this project that would further improve performance will also be highlighted. Much of this content will be familiar, but seldom is it carried out effectively and, as a result, the benefits are not realized. The results from this project will be presented as an example of what can be accomplished by taking this approach. Speaker: Alan Tough, Project Manager, Dunlinton Limited 2408: Leveraging Your 3D Models and TruViews for Training, Production Support, and Improved Facility Safety For most new plants today, a full-scope 3D model is developed and used for engineering review and construction planning. In existing plants, laser scanning and the creation of 3D "bubble views" have become an easy and costeffective method to derive much of the benefit of a 3D model, but at a fraction of the cost. The Samahnzi 3D PACT platform creates a paradigm shift by enabling both 3D bubble views and CAD models to quickly evolve from a navigation or review tool into an efficient training and production support tool. This session will spotlight the latest updates and case studies from the process, power, and marine industries to illustrate the platform's flexibility and ease of use. 2499: Information Management and SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators Product Update Attendees can meet product and solution managers and developers and take this opportunity to ask their questions about Information Management and SmartPlant Enterprise solution templates. Participants will also learn about the latest releases and news about ongoing developments in the Information Management and solution template area. SmartPlant Foundation Product Update - Since the launch of SmartPlant Foundation 2014, Intergraph has continued to build on the modularization theme. In September, Intergraph will release a new module for reporting administration, simplifying the way in which data is mined by providing the underlying definitions required to leverage the Business Intelligence charting capability. SmartPlant Foundation is becoming the "engine" of Intergraph's Information Management activities, providing harmonization of approaches to a single supportable and extensible core. This improves your concurrent engineering capability through visualization and time-slicing. These and many more areas will be part of this exciting update. SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators - The last 12 months have seen further enhancements to SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators (SPO) solutions. Attendees will learn about the latest exciting developments for handling unstructured information in SmartPlant Fusion. Intergraph supports interoperability between SmartPlant Fusion and SPO solutions. This update will present the latest advances to the SPO solutions, including Systems Completion, Handover, Operating Plant, Mobile, and Requirements Management & Traceability solutions. This session will update attendees on all of the latest developments and future directions for SPO. Open Forum - Participants are encouraged to come prepared with questions to pose to Intergraph's panel of product owners, industry specialists, and developers. This open forum session welcomes any question related to either the product update or any aspect of Intergraph's Information Management and template solutions.
