Results of the 2012 School Experience Survey CATSKILL EL - 2890 EDUCATION SERVICE CTR - SOUTH What is the purpose of this survey report? This report provides detailed information on the responses that LAUSD students, parents and employees gave to the School Experience Survey last spring. The report gives schools feedback from the entire school community to inform their planning efforts. Alongside the results for each school are the aggregated results across all LAUSD schools, which are provided as a basis for comparisons. Beginning on page 2 of this report, the righthand column labeled 'LAUSD' contains the results aggregated across all LAUSD elementary schools. Who was given an opportunity to participate in the School Experience Survey? All school employees and parents, as well as students in grades 3-12 were asked to complete the survey in 2012, and will be given another opportunity to participate in the survey in Winter 2013. In Spring 2012, who completed the survey at CATSKILL EL? surveys completed: Students 308 Parents 267 Employees 6 In Spring 2012, what were the key findings of the survey at CATSKILL EL? Students In total, 308 students completed the survey: 67% said adults at their school their name. 57% said their school is clean. 86% said they are safe on school grounds. Parents In total, 267 parents completed the survey: 92% said they feel welcome at their school. 46% said they talk with the teacher about their child's schoolwork. 88% felt their child is safe on school grounds.
