One of the third biggest glacier in Norway Folgefonna and National Park is also here. Folgefonna breførarlag offers guided glacier trips from professional glacier leaders. Other activities are kayaking in the glacier lake Møsevatnet. Kvinnherad municipality offers over 60 hikes, and here is a suggestion for a 3 days hiking program in Kvinnherad. i Lake Myrdalsvatnet There is a parking lot by the stop sign at Kletta. Information board by the parking lot. Good gravel road with no markings. Easy hike, suited for baby carriages, bikes and motorized wheelchairs. 160-374m AMSL. 3 hours round trip. i Postvegen Parking in Husnes, Valen and Handeland. Good gravel road with good markings. The main information board is placed by Spar Valen. Easy hike, suited for baby carriages, bikes and motorized wheelchairs. 40 100m AMSL. It depends on which part of the way one wants to walk. Day 1 2 Itinirary Rosendal - Lake Myrdalsvatnet Breakfast at the hotel. Hike to Lake Myrdalsvatnet. Quality gravel road (toll road) for 5 km all the way to Lake Myrdalsvatnet. At 4 km you will pass Midtseter mountain farm which was in use until 1968. Bring lunch to Myrdalsvatnet. A good alternative would be to stay for the whole day, rent a boat and go fishing. You should also take the opportunity to enter the beautiful beach at the end of the lake to experience the wilderness atmosphere there. The lake has a good population of average sized trout (up to 2 hg). Sporadically trout of 1-2 kg may be caught. There are two good quality rowing boats for rent at Lake Myrdalsvatnet. Contact the Tourist Information for rental As an alternative for the afternoon: Visit the Stone Park (possible to rent a guide, or you can get information leaflets at the Tourist Information). Dinner. Postvegen Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning have a guided tour at the Barony Baroniet Rosendal and a walk in the Rosendal Gardens. It is also possible to have lunch at Rosendal Hagekafe (garden café). In the afternoon we suggest: Hike Postvegen (The Postal Road). Walk from Statoil in Husnes along Lake Opsangervatnet towards the light sculpture Samspel. The path goes a little further and then turns right. You can also start from Spar Valen or from Handeland Gard. The hike may also be combined with a trip to Vikefjell. Dinner.

Drive to Sundal, but make sure you have time for a stop at Furebergsfossen (the largest and finest waterfall in the area, located between Ænes and Sundal). From the parking lot there is a quality gravel road, Isvegen to Lake Bondhusvatnet, 190m AMSL. The road was built in 1863 to transport ice from the Bondhusbreen Glacier down to the fjord for export. There is a path further along the lake and up to Vetledalen valley, 320m AMSL where you will be closer to the Bondhusbrea Glacier. The Bondhusbrea Glacier is often mentioned as the best site for glacier climbing in the country.
