1. The title of the profile in Danish and in English The title of the profile in Danish is: Kandidatuddannelsen i Erhvervsøkonomi (med profil i Communication Management and Leadership). The title of the profile in English is: Master of Science in Economics and Business (with the profile Communication Management and Leadership). 2. Entry requirements to the profile and entrance through supplementary courses Direct entrance: In accordance with the curriculum, section 3, the following bachelor s degrees provide admission to the profile: Any applicant who has passed the bachelor exam in Economics and Business (HA) or a combination education of similar nature has admittance to this specific profile. Applicants with a Bachelor in Economics (B.Sc. Economics), Bachelor in Business and Language (cand.negot/sprøk) are also admitted to this profile. Applicants with other bachelor exam can in some cases be admitted. Applicants with an exam as Produktionsbachelor can be admitted after passing certain additional exams. Produktionsingeniører from the Technical Faculty at SDU can be admitted according to some guidelines which have been outlined by SDU. Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements of the profile may be admitted, if they have academic qualifications at a commensurate level. The university may require supplementary tests. 3. Description of the focus area In accordance with the curriculum, section 1.1 the student who completes the profile will obtain the same competency through academic and practical focus as described below: The focus area of the profile is the processes of integrated communication from an organizational as well as a market-based perspective. Different modes and methods of communication will be discussed in the organizational context of leadership and human resources management. The programme has a criticalthinking based understanding that gives the students the competence to analyse the dynamic interactions of individual needs, company goals, and environmental factors in relation to communication and leadership. Furthermore, the student will gain knowledge about and skills in using methods and tools which are relevant for analysing communication and leadership issues in organizational as well as market contexts. Focus is on understanding integrated communication, leadership and human behaviour needed to manage the human resources while meeting organizational objectives. Odense 2012 4 of 7

The student can choose elective courses: among other constituent courses on other M.Sc. in Economics and Business, which are not constituent on the elected profile, primarily among 1. semester courses or among the list of pre-approved elective courses (to be announced) or apply the study board for permission to include a specific elective course as an alternative elective course 6.
