El Arrayan in Chile is the Result of Joint Venture Between Pattern Energy, AEI and AMSA Pattern started developing El Arrayan in May 2008, and in early 2010 it executed an agreement with AEI to jointly develop El Arrayan wind project in Chile. AMSA joined this partnership in December 2011. We obtained El Arrayan wind farm s environmental permit in June 2010 for 101MW. We obtained the permit for the larger project (115MW) in April 2012. Signed term sheet in February 2011 with AMSA s Minera Los Pelambres. Hedge and PPA were executed in November 2011. Financing was launched in August 2011; financial closing was achieved in May 2012. The $245 million structure provides financing for the two-year construction period, value-added-tax, liquidity reserves and a 15-year term period. Funding commitments were arranged by Export Kredit Fonden (EKF) through its ELO Scheme, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ and Credit Agricole. Chile s Corpbanca provided the VAT facility. Commercial operation is expected by early 2014. Pattern will operate the project, which will feature 50 Siemens 2.3MW wind turbines. Skanska will construct it. 11
