Instant results HiPath Xpressions Compact includes a conference server that makes carrying out conference calls particularly quick and easy. In many cases, you can get things done in just one conversation, as the conference server brings all participants to one "table". Each employee has his or her own "telephone conference room" in HiPath Xpressions Compact. As necessary, he or she can invite all those involved in an issue to the conference call. The participants either dial in directly or are called automatically and join the conference. Better than a regular phone call A conference call has enormous advantages over a series of individual calls. It allows everyone to contribute his or her points and clarify issues immediately; after the call, everyone is equally up to date. Faster than meetings Conference calls are usually a better alternative to conventional meetings. For example, they can be scheduled on much shorter notice, as everyone can take part by phone from wherever they happen to be. Saves costs The HiPath Xpressions Compact Conference Server fits even tight budgets. Not only does it eliminate travel expenses, it does not incur any service charges. Having your own conference server in-house makes you independent of services and free of any time or usage restrictions. Because communication becomes so much easier, intensive use is "pre-programmed." This saves costs on a regular basis. Easy to use To initiate a conference call, all a person needs to do is call his or her conference room from his or her extension, mobile phone or another phone. The optional control via web browser offers enhanced convenience with a display of the list of participants and additional functions such as disconnect, mute and adding individual participants. The ability to save lists of participants allows you to repeat regular conferences at the click of a mouse. Where secretaries are used to connecting calls on behalf of others, nothing changes. Instead of a one-on-one call, they simply transfer a completely set-up conference with all participants present. Guests who dial in themselves join a conference after entering the conference room number and any necessary access code. Recording binding information To make a record of a summary or task distribution, the conference leader can start recording the call at any time. The recording is sent to his or her voice mail or e-mail inbox, and can later be forwarded easily to all those involved. That way nothing gets lost.
