Restorer s Professional Background and Credentials 2 Since 1978, I have been actively engaged in various aspects of the construction and restoration industry. While I acquired the majority of my training on the job, I have also received training from the professional staff at the National Institute of Disaster Restoration (NIDR), a division of the nationally recognized trade organization of the Association of Specialists in Cleaning and Restoration (ASCR now and hereafter referred to as Restoration Industry Association (R.I.A.)), the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh (BAMP) and the Remodeler s Council. Through NIDR, I achieved the specialist designation of Certified Restorer in 1990. A Certified Restorer is a professional craftsman qualified by experience and expert training to engage in all aspects of construction. As a Certified Restorer, I promise to uphold the following code of ethics as set forth by NIDR/RIA: 1. I will prepare my estimates at a fair price. 2. I will limit the scope of my estimates to the damage involved, as I perceive it. 3. I will not knowingly prepare an estimate for more or less than the restoration required without so stating in my estimates. 4. I will not enter into an agreement with property owners, insurance adjusters or subcontractors to give or receive rebates or compensation not specified in my estimates. 5. I will not discuss my prices with a competitive bidder while bidding is open. 6. I will not enter into any secret agreements to do more work for the same price, nor will I charge a lesser rate for the work done than the rate quoted in my estimate. 7. I will keep abreast of new research and development in fire, water, smoke and other related damage restoration to give my customer the benefit of the most effective techniques available. 8. I will keep adequate job costs and administer my company s affairs with accepted business and accounting procedures. 9. My estimates and opinions will reflect my best professional judgment and nothing else. Additionally, in 1997, I achieved the designation of C.G.R., Certified Graduate Remodeler, through the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). As a Certified Graduate Remodeler, I agree to, abide by and support the following objectives: 1. To conduct my business affairs with professionalism and skill. 2. To provide the best remodeling value possible. 3. To protect the consumer through the use of high quality materials and remodeling practices backed by integrity and service. 4. To meet all of my financial obligations in a responsible manner. 5. To comply with the spirit and letter of my business contracts, and manage all of my employees, subcontractors and supplies with fairness and honesty. 6. To keep informed regarding public policies and other essential information, which affect my business interests and those of the building industry as a whole. 7. To comply with the rules and regulations prescribed by law and government agencies for the health, safety and welfare of the community. 8. To provide timely response to items covered under warranty. 9. To seek to resolve any controversy which I may become involved in through a non-litigation dispute resolution mechanism. 10. To not attempt to injure, with malicious intent, either directly or indirectly, the professional reputation, prospects, practice or employment of another Remodeler. 11. To support and abide by the decisions of the Association in promoting and enforcing this Code of Ethics. In 2014, I purchased my partner s stock as he retired from FireDEX of Pittsburgh. In 2013, I was appointed President of HJM Enterprises, Inc. d/b/a FireDEX of Pittsburgh. In 2010, I attended BAMP s Certified Renovator Course to receive the designation of EPA Renovator for lead renovations. In 2002, I attended IAQA s Certified Mold Remediation Course, which included detailed instruction on current guidelines with respect to mold remediation in residential, public and commercial buildings. I received the designation of Certified Mold Remediator (CMR). In 1992, Steve Manley and I purchased Rea Jones stock and interest in HJM Enterprises, Inc. t/d/b/a FireDEX of Pittsburgh. I became Vice President and Treasurer of the Corporation with fifty percent ownership. In 1987, Rea Jones, Steve Manley and I formed HJM Enterprises, Inc. and purchased FireDEX of Pittsburgh from its parent company, FireDEX Inc. I owned one third of the stock and held the position of Secretary for the Corporation.

In December of 1980, I joined FireDEX, Inc. as a Project Coordinator, receiving most of my training on the job. My responsibility was to restore homes and businesses (which had been devastated by a catastrophe) back to their pre-loss condition. In 1979, I attended Connelly Trade School located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 3 In 1978, I worked for Clark Construction Company as a working foreman, framing new homes ranging from $100,000 to $300,000, in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh. As the managing partner of FireDEX of Pittsburgh, I am responsible for managing four divisions throughout the company. These four areas are as follows: 1. Estimating Department - the preparation of detailed estimates, specifications, plans and layouts for restoration projects through the utilization of job site visits and the use of a comprehensive, computerized estimating system. 2. Production Department - the completion of all projects in accordance with the specifications submitted by the estimating department, completed in a timely, professional and profitable manner. 3.
