PRACTICE MANAGEMENT COURSE PRACTICE MANAGEMENT FOR FINANCIAL SERVICES The Certificate IV in Business Financial Services Practice Management - is a broad-based program covering all aspects of business management within the unique context of a financial services practice. The program has been developed by The Encore Group - Australia s leading practice management consultants in conjunction with Mentor Education. This program is the first nationally accredited business qualification tailored for financial services. It is industry recognised practice management program available for those who wish to undertake a professional business management role in a financial services business. WHO SHOULD ENROL? The program is for BDM s, PDM s, practice managers and practice advisers with a strong practical focus covering several key aspects of running a successful financial planning business. Participants would ideally have business management experience, and possibly prior relevant studies, and include the following: practice principals or equity partners or other staff who perform any aspect of the business management function in a financial planning practice financial planning practitioners who intend to become equity partners or business managers practice managers who wish to enhance and formalise their skills dealer group Practice Development Managers (PDMs) who wish to enhance their knowledge and gain tools to deliver high value practice development services to their practices Institutional Business Development Managers (BDMs) seeking the skills and tools to enhance the value they provide to their practices STUDY FORMAT This Qualification requires candidates to complete two modules delivered online, which may be augmented by webinars and/or workshops. Candidates may participate in 10 trainer-led workshops over 3-4 months. For candidates, who have previously completed competency units covered in the program, will be granted credit transfer at enrolment. EARN CPD POINTS The Association of Financial Advisers has granted 55.75 CPD points in Practice Management for this Financial Services Practice Management program. ASSESSMENT Each subject includes: Practice multiple choice questions Short answer response questions Telephone based skills assessment In addition, there are two major assignments: 1. a marketing plan 2. a business budget based on a practical case study (or your own practice if appropriate)
