Transfer students will participate in USP at varying degrees based upon the number of credits transferred into the university. Other Notes 0-29 Credits You will be responsible f the same requirements as an incoming freshman. Wk completed will be evaluated on a course-by-course evaluation and applied to UW Oshkosh requirements. 30-59 Credits You will be partially responsible f the requirements of the USP. A transfer year experience, a sht course to ient you to UW Oshkosh, will be required. Wk completed will be evaluated on a courseby-course evaluation and applied to UW Oshkosh requirements. 60+ Credits Wk completed will be evaluated on a course-by-course evaluation and applied to UW Oshkosh requirements. Any USP requirements not fulfilled by transfer coursewk will be addressed at UW Oshkosh. USP will be in effect f all transfer students beginning Fall of 2014. In a few instances, courses are designated differently at the UW Colleges than they are at UWO in terms of general education (i.e. HU becomes SS in transfer). In these instances the student can often choose to accept the UWO designation, have the UWC designation honed. Changes cannot be made until after UWO admission, and it is always best to discuss these changes with an academic advis first. The official UW Oshkosh GPA will be calculated using only UW Oshkosh credits earned. Credits transferred to UW Oshkosh are recognized, but the grades are not included in the official UW Oshkosh GPA. F various university-level hons designations students will have to earn at least 60 credits at UW Oshkosh and only those Oshkosh grades are considered. The official transcript will display the official UW Oshkosh GPA, UW Oshkosh course wk and transfer course grades that will not be included in the official UW Oshkosh GPA. The UW Colleges made changes to several departments, effective January 1, 2012. The current departments are listed on this guide with the previous departments and course numbers in ( ). 5
