Appointed as Deputy District Judge of the High Court and County Court in 2001, he continues to undertake this role part time at Birmingham Civil Justice Centre (the largest Civil Courtcentre in the UK). He has lectured regularly with the teaching staff of Worcester Law School, in recognition of which he has been appointed an Honorary Fellow of Staffordshire University, and he has broadcast regularly on legal issues with BBC Hereford and Worcester Radio.
