Abstract To perform the migration satellite plan, is necessary the equipment for the uplink over different configurations according future projects, were Arsat is responsible for the Operation and Satellite Services. This document describes the parameters to follow in the tender for the acquisition of 4 (four) units of satellite flyaway system, according to the technical specifications described in the specific sections. In case of the no specification in any item, it will be required that the system meets the local regulations as appropriate. 1. General considerations 4 (four) independent pieces of equipment are required to be integrated in KU band satellite systems and so allow the uplink using the DVB-S/ DVB- S2/ DVB-S2 Ext. standards permitting the flexibility to use different inputs, encoding s configurations, modulation s configurations, transmission s configurations and path, all according to the specifications detailed in Section 2 of this document. 2. Technical specifications Technical requirements on the devices involved are described hereafter. Those requirements are detailed in compliance matrix in Section 5, where all the requirements must be considered as mandatory except for those cases where it is specifically mentioned as Optional. Proposals Presentation Proposals will be evaluated according to the fulfilment of the mandatory requirements compliance matrix in Section 5, delivery time, prize and optional requirements. Please be free to include as many proposals as you could offer using different models of antennas and TWTAs. Tenders for each proposal must include: Technical specifications. Optional requirements must be specified if it is a license key (field upgradable) or it must be pre-order before shipment. Specific needs identified by the manufacturer and / or integrators (electric, environment, etc.). Full and signed compliance matrix according to product characteristics submitted. (As an affidavit). Commercial, insurance and shipping terms. (All the offers must be in EXW). Detailed document about the considerations mentioned in section 4 (for all the equipment included in the system). Heritage of the company in providing at least 10 (ten) satellite flyaway systems solutions. Any other information / recommendation that the supplier understands needs to be mentioned. If any of the items required below it is not send in the technical proposal, it will be discard. Página 5/11

4. Important considerations A. The quotation should include training on-site (Arsat facilities) for 4 people. Please include in the proposal an explanation about content and hours training. B. The quotation should include technical support for the whole system for one year from the end of training (mentioned on 4.A). C. Due the equipment will be submitted to several moving and to field work; Arsat will take an important consideration about: Transportation weight Transportation packaging dimensions Building materials (structures, Rack, antenna plate, etc.) Water resistance Protection against shocks Easily transportation Mount time & ease Environment specifications (Operational & storage) Página 6/11
