And in english. I am keen to participate in the grant committee s important work even though I know that they are hated by everyone who doesn t get a grant, from easter at least until 15.oktober I will be representing NBF, an organization whose members work with 3 dimensional often large scale works which take time to produce as well as being costly and which demand space to work with. These considerations mean that sculptors often have a lower level of production than artists working within other medias. The long production time and inhibitive transportation costs also mean that they receive less exposure and exhibiting opportunities. These two factors mean that sculptors are often less visible as well as having higher production costs. I would like to encourage the committee to look at the quality of the productions, from this perspective, which aims to support a fair system of funding allocation in terms of individual productions, not just based on visibility and consensus - to get a more comprehensive picture of the applicant s artistic practice, economic constraints and potential for development whichever medium they work in.
