Archive Services for SharePoint Provides the configurable environment for archiving files and folders from one or more work-in-progress repositories (provided by WSS or MOSS) and transferring them to the Documentum platform. Archive Services for SharePoint can archive: Single files Multiple files Individual folders and their contents Multiple folders (with inheritance of subfolders and documents within the path) The archiving activities occur in the background and are transparent to knowledge workers. 1
How It Works Automatically store and manage all content within the Documentum platform, or Allow knowledge workers to establish their own criteria for transferring content between a work-in-progress environment and an enterprise content repository. For instance: Any content stored within a SharePoint repository might automatically flow into and out of the Documentum platform. Knowledge workers might manage content locally, and only transfer the final documents to the Documentum repository. The IT group configure the archiving capabilities by modifying the fields and values of predefined sets of forms 2
