Delaware County Community College Transfer Agreement Summary Delaware County Community College has written transfer agreements with many colleges and universities in the Greater Philadelphia area as well as with schools throughout Pennsylvania. These agreements are designed to facilitate students ease of transfer into undergraduate majors at four-year institutions. The colleges and universities listed in this booklet have Special Transfer Partnerships with DCCC, offer Program-to- Program agreements or Program Guidesheets, and/or provide Course Equivalency Guides. Special Transfer Partnerships with 16 area schools offer guaranteed admission and, in some cases, scholarships for qualified students. Additionally, most include Core-to-Core agreements where the general education embedded within approved DCCC Associate Degrees is accepted as satisfying the transfer institution s Core curriculum. Over seventy Program-to-Program guides allow students who graduate with specified DCCC transfer or career degrees to transfer all of the credits earned within that program to the designated four-year institution. The Program Guidesheets offer an academic plan with course recommendations for students to follow in order to prepare for a specific major at the designated four-year institution. Course Equivalency Guides list the transferability of DCCC courses currently evaluated by the designated institution. PA TRAC New state legislation intended to create a seamless statewide transfer and articulation system, requires Pennsylvania's 14 community colleges and the 14 universities in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) to adopt mandatory equivalency standards for the purpose of creating at least 30 hours of foundation courses that can be easily transferred to any of the participating institutions and to establish an electronic portal for providing public access to transfer information. Voluntary participation by private colleges and universities is allowed under the law. State-related institutions also may voluntarily participate in this statewide transfer system. As of Spring 2008, Lackawanna College, Lincoln University, Seton Hill University and St. Francis University have joined PA TRAC. This brings the number of institutions participating in PA TRAC to 32. For a complete listing of participating institutions and to view the transferability of your course, please visit www.patrac.org. The Pennsylvania Transfer and Articulation Center (PA TRAC) was created as a one-stop shop for transfer students, administrators and advisors/faculty. The site contains the following information: Information about the " Transfer Credit Framework "; Transfer course equivalencies; College profiles for the participating institutions; Searchable databases such as Search by Institution and Search by Course; and Planning for Transfer Guidance. Students who successfully complete courses from the Transfer Credit Framework can transfer those credits to any of the participating colleges and universities and have them count towards graduation. 16
