Competitiveness and Innovation framework Programme (CIP) (2007-2013) 2 DECISION No 1639/2006/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 24 October 2006 establishing a Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (2007 to 2013) CIP programme has been established for Community action in the field of competitiveness and innovation, paying particular attention to the needs of SMEs and covering the period from 1 January 2007 to 31 December 2013.
CIP Programme 3 Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) contributes to achieving the objectives of EU energy policy and to implementing the Lisbon Agenda. The Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) aims to encourage the competitiveness of European enterprises. With small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as its main target, the programme supports innovation activities (including eco- innovation), provides better access to finance and delivers business support services in the regions. It encourages a better take-up and use of information and communications technologies (ICT) and helps to develop the information society. It also promotes the increased use of renewable energies and energy effciency.

EIP Programme 6 The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme provides for action to support of enterprise, particularly SMEs, entrepreneurship, innovation, including eco-innovation and industrial competitiveness. The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme provides for action to support, improve, encourage and promote: (a) access to finance for the start-up and growth of SMEs and investment in innovation activities; (b) the creation of an environment favourable to SME cooperation, particularly in the field of cross-border cooperation; (c) all forms of innovation in enterprises; (d) eco-innovation; (e) entrepreneurship and innovation culture; (f) enterprise and innovation-related economic and administrative reform.
ICT Policy Support Programme 7 The ICT Policy Support Programme provides for the following actions: (a) development of the Single European information space and strengthening of the internal market for ICT products and services and ICT-based products and services; (b) stimulation of innovation through the wider adoption of and investment in ICT; (c) development of an inclusive information society and more efficient and effective services in areas of public interest, and improvement of quality of life. Actions are carried out with a particular emphasis on the promotion and awareness raising of the opportunities and benefits of ICT for citizens, public authorities and businesses, in particular SMEs.
8 The Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE) Programme is the Community s non-technological programme in the field of energy efficiency, renewable energy and energy efficiency in transport. The programme contributes to ensuring secure, sustainable energy for Europe, while enhancing European competitiveness. The 2007-2013 2013 IEE programme forms part of the EU s Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) and it s continuation of IEE 2003-2006 programme.

Getting your project supported: How does it work? 16 In response se to the annual call, you can propose a project and apply for funding The EACI evaluates all proposals with the help of independent experts The best proposals are selected and invited to prepare and sign a grant agreement The project team carries out the project according to the agreed work plan The EACI monitors and supports the project, and helps spread its results

IEE Programme in 2010 20 Next call for proposals will be published spring 2010. The European Info Day will be organised on 3 February 2010 in Brussels. National Info Days in Poland will be organised in marchapril 2010.
