Check-in procedures Bike Check before entering Transition Area Bike Check: frame, wheels, clip ons, handlebar,etc Saddle position ( -5 cm Men & -2 cm Women) Approved exceptions on ITU website Approval for the addition/modification of any equipment to the bike, MUST be obtained from the RR at the end of the athletes briefing Bike mechanic available
Check-in procedures Athletes` Lounge Uniform & race gear check (name, country, logos, ITU logo, zippers) photos will be taken of each uniform. Wearing other uniform during the race = DQF! Uniforms have to comply with the ITU Uniform Rules, with ITU logo, family name, country code, and respect on the sponsors logo sizes and location. In case of non-compliance, you might be requested to cover some logos with black tape, or to wear a neutral uniform provided by ITU (only World Cup). Pre-start Procedure Athlete Introduction: 10 minutes before start: line-up in the Call Room Jog to the pontoon when you are introduced Select your position and stay behind the line! Athlete blocking more than one place will result in DQF
Start Procedure Athletes in position: The start can be given any time after the TD announces On your mark Electronic horn blast The race starts Athletes not moving forward at the start will receive a time penalty of 10 seconds in TA1.
False Start Procedures False start example : Several horn blasts Kayaks in front of you Everyone goes back to her/his spot Valid start but with early starters: If someone starts before the horn and everyone else starts with the horn, the false starter will receive a time penalty of 10 seconds in TA1 During the time penalty athlete cannot touch any of their equipment!
Swim course Water temperature: 25,5 C (today at 12:30h) Wetsuit not allowed 3 laps (total distance of 750m); anti-clockwise Distance to the first turn buoy = 102 m. Keep all the buoys on your left shoulder Swim behavior will be closely monitored inc. video Take cap and goggles to transition into your box

Run Penalty Box Rule The penalty box is for infringements in: TA1, bike and TA2 eg: Mount before mount line, dismount after dismount line, discharge or store your equipment outside your designated area, rack the bike outside your own space etc (Transition will be videotaped for infringements) Location: 150m before the Transition Area Information: White board to show race numbers (Athletes need to read the board coaches are advised to check and inform their athletes) Procedure: 10 second time penalty served on any lap of the run If you don t stop = DSQ
Qualification for the Finals Women: Top 14 from each Semi Final plus the next 2 best times will qualify Men: Top 7 from each Semi Final plus the next 2 RULE: best times will qualify In case of athletes withdrawing from the final, replacement will be made by the first athlete who has not qualified. The replacement will happen if the number of athletes in the final drops down to 30 athletes. (a random selection will be made from those athletes who have the same time). The deadline for the replacements will be when registration opens.

Run Penalty Box Rule interpretation Mount after the mount line: It has to be one contact of the athlete foot with the floor after the mount line. If this contact doesn t occur the action is considered as mount the bike before the mount line. Dismount before the dismount line: It has to be one contact of the athlete foot with the floor before the dismount line. If this contact doesn t occur the action is considered as dismount the bike before the dismount line. Discharge or store your equipment inside your designated area: Leaving the equipment s(swim cap, goggles, helmet, etc.) in the designated box. Rack the bike inside your own space: In case of Traditional bike rack, the bike must be racked with at least one side of the handlebar or the seatpost with 0,5m to the name plate.

Ambush Marketing Rules Ambush marketing is defined as: Deliberately using the opportunity of live television and media photographers to acquire additional exposure for your sponsor product, apparel or brand. The consequence for this behavior is: The athlete will immediately forfeit their prize money for that event.
Post-race Procedures Anti-Doping Control Photo ID is needed for every athlete to have ready for Doping Control Location: Triathlon Club Sport Center (LOC provides chaperones and transport > 1.3 km from venue) Medical Only team medical officials are allowed in this area in case there is an athlete from their team. Every NF can have 1 team medical upgade pass, but only for team doctors!
Coaches areas Accreditation Every coach has to collect accredition to be able to enter the venue. Only Coaches who have been registered from their NF into the ITU online system are entitled for an accreditation. There is no dedicated coach area for this event
