I'm not sure how that interats with the Lake Havasu program so that will have to be larified. We would have greater onerns if this degree were being offered fae-to-fae on one of the loal ampuses but I don't think that is the ase. Here are several possible areas of ooperation, speifially in sharing ourses, identified by Afsaneh and Arnie. The implementation depends on the struture of program. Speifially, 1. Our PAF 410- Leadership Skills ourse an easily be added to either their required or eletive list of ourses. We offer the ourse in online (both 16 and 7 week-pearson platform}, hybrid and in person formats. The topis are relevant to their degree and appear similar to several of their ourses inluding the OGL 00- Theories and pratie of leadership 2. Our PAF 11 -Leadership and hange would be another ourse of interest for them and is similar to their OGL 55 - Leading Organizational Innovation and Change. Our PAF 420- Publi leadership may be another ourse of interest to them as an eletive 4. Our PAF 00 - Publi management and administration may be another ourse of interest to them as an eletive. 5. There may be possibilities for their students to take our onentrations in PSPP or for our students to take their ourses. That would depend on the struture of their program and whether students are allowed to take ourses outside of the BA and whether their ourses are open to other ASU students. 6. If they are interested in our ourses, we ould offer speifi setions for them either in person or online. It seems highly effiient to have ASU Online invest in reating Pearson versions of these ourses- some of them already exist as iourses- that ould be used for this new program as well as existing undergraduate majors and minors in PAF. We know the Leadership Studies program is quite far along in the approval proess but we do hope there are any opportunities for hange. However, we do have a few onerns regarding the name of the program and
possible dupliation. First, we are not sure how the name of the program ame about. The UC has an Organizational Studies degree, but the Leadership Studies name ertainly overlaps with many of our interests in SPA. Seond, as you an see from the list of ourses, we offer at least two ourses, 11 and 410 that appear to be very similar to theirs. I'm going to ask Afsaneh and Arnie to be the leaders on this proess (ha!) beause this really is there area of expertise but I would appreiate keeping me and Asso Dean Nany Rodriguez in the loop so we know how this proess is working out.
