One of the things I enjoy the most is writing the monthly newsletter. I take the time to reflect where we have been, where we are going and how to do things better Typically I showcase the latest project story, show and tell any new furniture releases and profile what we do away from work. Whilst I am working away in my pleasantly cool office, I will often receive emails with snapshots of our on-site team, a gentle reminder of what they do and here are some snaps Much of our work involves HARD YAKKA A Kodak Moment Moving tons of furniture This snap says it all

MIWATJ story We recently supplied furniture to MIWATJ Health Aboriginal Corporation. I learnt that MIWATJ is an independent controlled health service for the MIWATJ region to improve the health and wellbeing of the locals. The MIWATJ Health Aboriginal Corporation is run by the Aboriginal community and is successful in the management of their programs. Vystan was contacted by Mariana to supply new furniture. Mariana donated her time and provided our office with her design concepts, along with the selection of fabrics and finishes. MIWATJ have kindly sent their photos of the installation as our team at Vystan was interested to see the end result. I gathered from Mariana there are a lot of good people working to support the Corporation and it is a great success story. MIWATJ story / continued A well deserved refurbishment for the dedicated staff. The original fit-out with the multiple offices in the small space lacked natural lighting. Furniture for the new office was selected to allow for maximum natural light. MIWATJ team members chose to mix straight and 120-degree clusters to create a less structured feel to the office space. Hot desks with low height acrylic screens were selected for the field team members as most of the MIWATJ teams are on site and at remote locations, the low screens allowed for collaboration and team work once back in the office. Floor boxes were chased in for electrical and data services. For the administrative office staff, fabric covered screens were used. 4
MIWATJ story / continued Furniture for the Office of the Chief Health Officer Doctor LUCAS DE TOCA selected simple furniture for his office. Mariana designed a floating credenza with flush front and knob handles. A desk with A-Frame legs was selected to enable cabling to be housed through the leg system. Our news At the start of this newsletter I wrote how I enjoyed writing our newsletters and at the end of our newsletters I like to share other news. Darwin is typically laid back and when you go to any major event you are likely to bump into friends or acquaintances you have not seen for a while. Russ and Loren who went to the Adelaide River Races with separate groups of friends and of course bumped into each other. (I was sent this photo by default. My girlfriend found the photo on face-book and knowing I don t have face-book sent me a copy). The Adelaide River Races are an annual event where the race goers do not take themselves to seriously. Once the night is done you can see the morning in or swag it This was Loren s first time at the Adelaide River Races. She thought the crowd was chilled and well behaved. The night was cool and it was a great event to catch up with everyone. ^ Here is the snap of Russ and Loren taken at the Adelaide River Races held late August 8
