Mobility Trends Survey Introduction Purpose & Methodology In August 2014, Good conducted an online survey of global mid-market organizations with annual revenue between $200M and $999M. The goal of the survey was to understand: Metrics related to current mobile deployments, including MDM saturation, BYOD policy and app deployment Trends related to mobile priorities and future mobile growth plans The following results are based on the responses of 459 IT decision makers.

Mid-Market is On Top of Mobility Formal BYOD Support Government & Public Sector 45 % Healthcare 58 % 35 % 50 % Energy & Utilities Transportation 59 % 33 % 55 % 33 % Financial Services Manufacturing Entertainment, Information & Media Wholesale 61 % 65 % 67 % 72 % Business & Professional Services Education Non-Profit Organizations Legal High Tech 60 % Retail 62 % Communications 69 % The majority of midmarket organizations have deployed MDM. Most industries have greater than 50% formal support for BYOD.

But Formal BYOD Support Creates End-User Concerns SUPPORTS BYOD 65 % USERS ARE CONCERNED ABOUT PRIVACY NO BYOD SUPPORT 35 % USERS ARE CONCERNED ABOUT PRIVACY Organizations that formally support BYOD report almost 50% more user privacy concerns than those that don t. MDM is sufficient to protect the device, but can be perceived as intrusive by end-users.
