Moving your money Make quick, secure deposits All the deposits you make over the counter are processed immediately. Any deposits made through our depositpoints before the cut-off time shown in branch will be processed the same day. Any deposits made after that time or at weekends will be processed the next working day. All cash will be immediately available when processed and cheques will follow normal clearance timelines. Our easy-to-use Immediate Deposit Machines (IDMs), let you pay in cash and cheques in a matter of seconds you don t need your PIN and you ll get a copy of the cheque in your receipt. Weekends and Bank Holidays are not counted as working days. It s easy to move my money A_B Direct Debits Direct Debits are a quick and easy way to make payments. They go straight from your account to a company or service, which is really useful for paying regular bills like your utilities, where the amounts might vary. If you ever need to cancel or change a Direct Debit, simply let the company you are paying and us know. If you think there s been an incorrect payment, tell us immediately and we ll arrange a full refund, and tell the company or business involved. Sending money abroad Our International Payment Services help you send money abroad quickly, easily and securely. To find out more go to lloydsbank.com/travel 10

Moving your money Standing orders Another simple way to pay your bills is by standing order. This is a fixed, regular payment from your account. We can help you set these up, and if you ever need to change or cancel them just let us know. Payment of Standing orders/ Direct Debits/cheques/future dated payments We make payments from your account shortly after midnight at the start of the due date. If your payment date falls on a nonworking day, then we will try to collect your payment the next working day. If you don t have enough funds in your account at this point to make a payment, we will try to make a payment again after 3.30pm the same day. This gives you the chance to put extra funds into your account so that we can make the payment. The money needs to be available to use straight away, so you could transfer money from another personal account you have with us via Internet, Mobile or Telephone Banking or pay in cash over the counter in branch. If you do not have enough funds at the beginning of a day to make a payment: You have until 3.30pm to pay money into your account to make the payment that day. If a payment takes you into any type of overdraft, you have until 3.30pm to pay money into your account to avoid overdraft fees and charges. Standing orders and future dated payments If you don t have enough funds in your account to pay a standing order after 3.30pm on the day the payment is due, we will continue to make the payment each working day for up to 26 days in total. If we can t make the payment by the second day after it was due, then we may charge a returned item fee of 10. We will, however, only charge one for each item that isn t paid, even if we continue to try to make the payment over the 26 days. If we charge a returned item fee then we will write to let you know about the failed payment. 11

Using cheques I need to use cheques How and when you can use cheques We offer instant cheque value, which means that if your account pays credit interest, we ll start paying it straight away on the first 1,000 of cheques paid in over the counter before the cut-off time. If you pay in more than 1,000 in a day, we ll start paying any interest on the amount over 1,000 on the second working day after you pay it in. Unpaid cheques If you write a cheque without having enough money in your account to cover it, it might get returned (or bounce ). Cheques can usually be returned up to six days after we receive them and charges may apply. Please refer to the Banking Charges guide for more information. Processing cheques When you pay in a cheque we use the same clearing process as all the main UK banks, called the 2-4-6 process. If you need to stop a cheque call us straight away on 0845 3 000 000 or visit a branch. This is how it works if you pay in a cheque on a Monday morning: By 2 working days When you pay in cheques of over 1,000 a day, over the counter before 4.30pm on a weekday, we will start paying you any interest due on the money or use it to reduce the interest you owe us the second working day after you ve paid it in. By 4 working days Your money will be available in your account from Friday so you can withdraw it as cash or use it for making payments, but it could still be returned unpaid. By 6 working days By the end of the following Tuesday, the money cannot be debited from your account without your agreement, even if the cheque is later returned unpaid. 12

EASY

Using an overdraft I need support when things get a little tight Planned Overdrafts We support our Classic Account holders with a 25 interest and fee free Planned Overdraft, subject to application and approval. This gives you financial flexibility, without the worry of overdraft fees or interest. Unplanned Overdrafts If you go overdrawn unexpectedly, we could agree to cover your payments with an Unplanned Overdraft, but there are charges for this. If you ve gone into an Unplanned Overdraft we provide a 10 buffer, which means there ll be no additional overdraft fees or interest to pay if you remain within this buffer. Please see our Banking Charges guide for further details. All overdrafts are subject to a review of your circumstances and are repayable in full on demand. Grace period Our grace period gives you until 3.30pm (UK time) every day to pay in enough money to avoid any overdraft fees you may incur that day. The money needs to be immediately available to use, so you could transfer money from another personal account you have with us via Mobile, Internet or Telephone Banking or pay in cash over the counter in branch. Representative Example If you use a Planned Overdraft limit of 1,200 on our Classic Account the overdraft interest rate we charge on the first 25 will be 0% EAR variable. The overdraft interest rate on the next 1,175 will be 19.94% EAR variable and a Monthly Overdraft Usage Fee of 6 will apply. EAR is the equivalent annual rate. This is the actual interest rate of an overdraft. It doesn t take into account fees and charges. Control Control is an add-on for our Classic Account that can help you to stay on top of your finances. For a 10 monthly fee, Control can help you in two ways: You won t pay any Unplanned Overdraft fees (if your account does happen to go into an Unplanned Overdraft*). You won t pay any Returned Item Fees (if you try to make a payment when you don t have enough money to cover it). Visit lloydsbank.com/control or come into branch to find out more. *You still pay interest on your Unplanned Overdraft. 14
