4 Current account credit interest Making the most of my money Tiered credit interest rates With Club Lloyds you can earn interest on the money in your current account. It offers variable, tiered interest rates up to 4% AER /3.93% Gross, so the more money you have in your account, the more interest you could receive on balances from 1 to 5,000. Interest rates are calculated daily on the balance that s in your account, so even if your balance fluctuates from the beginning of the month to the end, you could still be earning interest. On balances between 4,000 5,000 you could earn 4% AER variable To qualify for credit interest you need to pay two different Direct Debits from your Club Lloyds current account each calendar month. If there s a calendar month where you don t have two different Direct Debits paid from your account, you won t get any interest on the money in your account for that month. Interest is paid monthly into your account at the end of the first working day of each month, and the interest cycle runs from the second working day of one month to the first working day of the next. We don t pay interest on amounts over 5,000. Please speak to us about our range of savings accounts, including the exclusive Club Lloyds Saver and Club Lloyds Monthly Saver accounts. 2

This gives you some financial flexibility, without the worry of overdraft fees or interest. If you have added Club Lloyds benefits to an existing Added Value account, the interest and fee-free amount for that account remains unchanged, unless you have added Club Lloyds to your Silver account. Where you have added Club Lloyds to an existing Silver account you will now be able to apply for the Club Lloyds interest and fee-free Planned Overdraft amount of up to 100, however if you already have a Planned Overdraft of 100 or more, we will automatically increase your interest and fee-free amount from 50 to 100. You can find more details about all our overdraft fees, and an explanation of how our overdrafts work in our Banking Charges Guide at lloydsbank.com All overdrafts are subject to our assessment of your circumstances and are repayable in full on demand. You must be aged 18 or over to apply. Applying for your overdraft If you didn t apply for your overdraft when you opened your account and want to apply for a Planned Overdraft, you can do this in branch or call us on to apply. Grace period Our grace period gives you until 3:30pm (UK time) every day to pay in enough money to avoid any overdraft fees you may incur that day. The money needs to be immediately available to use, so you could transfer it from another personal account you have with us or pay in cash over the counter in branch. REPRESENTATIVE EXAMPLE If you use a Planned Overdraft limit of 1,200 the overdraft interest rate we charge on the first 50 for Silver accounts or 100 for Club Lloyds Silver accounts will be 0% EAR variable. 21 Moving your money Direct Debits and standing orders Direct Debits are a quick and easy way to make payments. They go straight from your account to a company or service, which is really useful for paying regular bills like your utilities, where the amounts might vary. If you ever need to cancel or change a Direct Debit, simply let the company you are paying and us know. If you think there s been an incorrect payment, tell us immediately and we ll arrange a full refund and tell the company or business involved. Another simple way to pay your bills is by standing order. This is a fixed, regular payment from your account. We can help you set these up, and if you ever need to change or cancel them just let us know. We make payments from your account shortly after midnight at the start of the due date. If your payment date falls on a non-working day, then we will try to collect your payment the next working day. If you don't have enough funds in your account at this point to make a payment, we will try to make a payment again after 3.30pm the same day. This gives you the chance to put extra funds into your account so that we can make the payment. The money needs to be available to use straight away, so you could transfer money from another personal account you have with us via internet, mobile or telephone banking or pay in cash over the counter in branch. If you do not have enough funds at the beginning of a day to make a payment: You have until 3.30pm to pay money into your account to make the payment that day. If a payment takes you into any type of overdraft, you have until 3.30pm to pay money into your account to avoid overdraft fees and charges. Standing orders and future-dated payments If you don't have enough funds in your account to pay a standing order after 3.30pm on the day the payment is due, we will continue to make the payment each working day for up to 26 days in total. If we can't make the payment by the second day after it was due, then we may charge a returned item fee of 10. We will, however, only charge once for each item that isn't paid, even if we continue to try to make the payment over the 26 days. If we charge a returned item fee then we will write to let you know about the failed payment. 19
