To start your FNB account, all it takes is one trip to your local FNB. Our new accounts staff will do all the paper work for you. Just bring the following documents with you: Current Drivers License or Picture ID (for each current signer) Proof of Social Security Number (for each current signer) $100.00 minimum deposit Note: To make your finances even easier, remember to open your personal savings account at the same time to be used for overdraft protection!! 1. Discontinue using your old checking account. It could take 10 days or longer for outstanding checks to clear. In the meantime, destroy all unused checks, deposit slips, and checks/atm cards. We can even shred them for you here. 2. Change automatic payments. Do not forget accounts that may use your debit card number. 3. Change accounts for direct deposit. Just use the Automatic Deposit Form to send to your payroll department to begin direct deposit to your new FNB account. 4. Close all your old accounts. You do not have to go to the bank to close your accounts. Simply fill out Account Closing Form and your account will be closed. We have made it just that easy. If there is a remaining balance, your old bank will issue an official check and mail it to you at the address you have indicated on the Account Closing Form or mail it directly to your new account with FNB.
