0 FOREWORD To install or update the databank you need two files: The first one is the token, that allows you to see the databank. The second one is the databank of the vehicles purchased. To do this, read the following instructions. 1 SETTINGS TO ENABLE THE POP-UPS To download the tokens from the databank web site, POPUP must be enabled depending on the browser you are using. 1.1 If you have Chrome Select the Settings menu. Select "Settings". Page 3/28

Select "Show advanced settings". Scroll down to "Privacy" and select "Content Settings". Scroll down to "Popup" and select "Allow all to show pop ups". Close the window by selecting "Done". Now you can download the token and the database. Page 4/28

1.2 If you have Firefox Select the Settings menu. Select "Options". Select the "Content" menu. Remove the check mark in the "Block Pop up windows". The selection is saved automatically. Now you can download the tokens. Page 5/28

1.3 If you have Internet Explorer Select the Settings menu. Select "Internet Options". Select the "Privacy" tab. Remove the check mark in the "Turn on Pop up Blocker". Click on "Apply" and confirm with "OK". Now you can download the token. Page 6/28

2 FIRST DATABANK INSTALLATION Token and data bank Download. Now we can start the download of the two files needed for the installation, the token and the databank files. Connect to the data bank site highlighted in the SMART CARD Enter the number of the new smart card (under the bar code) and click on the specific icon. In our case the card number is S9ASP001999675. Click on item S9ASP001999675 to generate the token with the latest version of the data bank present on the server. Note: the new token, ready to be generated, is highlighted by a green star has never been downloaded, therefore NEVER generated. which means that the token Page 7/28

NOTE: IF THE POP UPS ARE NOT ACTIVE (BECAUSE THE PROCEDURE OF THE CH. 1 HAS NOT BEEN EXECUTED) A WARNING MESSAGE INDICATING THAT YOU MUST ACTIVATE POP UPS WILL APPEAR. BY PRESSING THE OK BUTTON, THE TOKEN WILL NOT BE DOWNLOADED AND YOU WILL HAVE TO REPEAT ALL THE ENTERING OF THE CUSTOMER DATA. Note: Token NOT downloaded Click on Back to come back to the smartcard page, from where you can restart the procedure. Click on the home icon to come back to the home page of the website. YOU MUST ACTIVATE POPUP DEPENDING ON BROWSER THAT YOU ARE RUNNING. SEE THE CHAPTER 1 POPUP SETTINGS When the operator chooses to download and therefore generate the token with the green star, the information of the installer and the customer are requested and it will be visible by the technical service department for managing the warranty. The period of warranty of the machine start from this moment, even if the wheel alignment was in Stock before long time. Enter: company name of the installer; address of the installer; company name of the customer; address of the customer; customer email address. Page 8/28

It is important to enter the correct data for future traceability of the machine and to ensure that the customer is informed about new database updates Press the ACTIVATE icon and the token will be activated and downloaded. The token download lasts only a few seconds, after which the following indication is displayed (it may vary according to the browser used). PLEASE NOTE: AFTER THE TOKEN IS DOWNLOADED FOR THE FIRST TIME, THE CUSTOMER HAS THREE MONTHS OF BONUS TO DOWNLOAD ANY DATA BANK UPDATE (see para. 3). Once the token is downloaded, click on Back to go back to the token download page. From this moment you can download the suggested database, associated with the SMART CARD: Page 9/28

Click on the databank icon (in the example STDA110.zip). The site displays the following page, containing the disclaimer to be read carefully and accepted. Conditions not accepted Non selectable grey icon. Data bank impossible to download If the conditions are not accepted it is not possible to continue the data bank download. Accept both conditions and press on the data bank icon that now may be selected. Conditions accepted Selectable light blue icon. Download is possible Page 10/28

The file.zip named STDA110_DB_Std.zip will be downloaded on the PC. Note: If you see two different databank icons, download both. When the complete download has finished, close the browser. Select the Download folder on the PC where you have downloaded the files. Look for the token and the databank files. Select the token file and copy it. Plug the USB key supplied with the smartcard. Open the folder AS9 in the USB key and paste the token in there. The USB key now shall contain the certificate, the config and the token, as shown in the picture. Go back on the Download folder. Unzip the databank file: click on its icon with the right button of the mouse and select Extract All. When finished, open the new folder and inside you can find a folder called AS9. For example in our case, the content of a STDA110 is the following: Copy and paste everything in the AS9 folder of the USB data key supplied with the SMART CARD, the same where we have saved the token. The AS9 folder must now contain the certificate, the config, the token and now the database of the machine to install. To install the data bank and the token on the machine please refer to Ch. 3. 3 DATA BANK AND TOKEN ACTIVATION IN THE ALIGNER SW 3.1 Selecting the type of installation to carry out Depending on the condition of the SW it may be necessary to carry out two different installation paths. To understand which procedure to carry out, see the keys present on the initial page of the program. If on the SW displays the following keys (Dummy Mode): The wheel aligner is working in Dummy Mode (only one generic vehicles is showed with no data and no databank loaded). Loading in this wheel aligner the token and the databank means that the wheel aligner is ready to work with its data bank. If this is your case, proceed with the installation described in Ch. 3.2. If the SW displays the following keys (F3, yellow button with dots): This page occurs because it is the first time that the wheel aligner software is installed on a new or formatted PC. Proceed with the installation described in Ch. 3.3. Page 12/28

3.2 First installation after using the aligner from Dummy mode. The aligner is working in Dummy mode (without enabling the data bank). From the initial page press the F2 button to enter the configuration menu. Depending on the software version you are running, you should choose different menus. UNTIL SW VERSION 4.1.6: select Additional Features with F2/F3 keys and then press F4 to confirm. Select Data bank Management with F2/F3 keys and then press F4 to continue. Select Data bank Management again with F2/F3 keys and then press F4 to continue. Page 13/28

FROM SW VERSION 4.1.7: select Data bank Management with F2/F3 keys and then press F4 to confirm. Select Data bank Management again with F2/F3 keys and then press F4 to continue. Once opened the Database Management menu, you ll see the following page. Double check that the USB has been detected. Press the F4 key to import the data bank. Press the F4 key to confirm the operation to be performed. Page 14/28

Write "Y" to start the copy of the frame heights (in CAPITOL LETTERS) and press ENTER. When the databank is copied on the wheel aligner system, a message occurs in the frame: Done. Press any key to proceed. Press any key to proceed and the frame will close. Press the F3 key to copy the token file in the specific folders of the wheel aligner. Page 15/28

Press the F4 key to confirm the operation to be performed. Press the space bar to terminate the operation. Page 16/28

Press the F1 key to restart the machine. The token and data bank installation is complete. Press F1 to finish the procedure. The SW will be closed, showing the Windows Desktop. Restart the Wheel Aligner program, clicking on the icon Aligner AS9 on the Windows desktop. The wheel aligner program will start and load the databank. Page 17/28

3.3 First databank installation on a PC where the wheel aligner program is installed for the first time (after format or uninstallation). Insert the USB key of the aligner PC (previously prepared, see Ch. 2). Turn on the aligner and execute the SW. From the initial page of the program press the F4 key to load the files contained in the key. The SW displays the following page. Double check that the USB has been detected. Press the F4 key to import the data bank. Page 18/28

Press the F4 key to confirm the operation to be performed. Write "Y" to start the copy of the frame heights (in CAPITOL LETTERS) and press ENTER. When the databank is copied on the wheel aligner system, a message occurs in the frame: Done. Press any key to proceed. Press any key to proceed and the frame will close. Page 19/28

Press the F3 key to copy the token file in the specific folders of the wheel aligner. DATABANK WEB SITE Press the F4 key to confirm the operation to be performed. Page 20/28

Press the space bar to terminate the operation. Press the F1 key to restart the machine. The token and data bank installation is complete. Press F1 to finish the procedure. The SW will be closed, showing the Windows desktop. Restart the Wheel Aligner program, clicking on the icon Aligner AS9 on the Windows desktop. The wheel aligner program will start and load the databank. Page 21/28

4 UPDATES. Download subsequent tokens An update purchased or that comes in the 3 months of automatic updates provided with a recent purchase, is highlighted by a yellow star, simply indicating the presence of an update. Connect to the data bank site highlighted in the SMART CARD. Enter the number of the Smart card (under the bar code) and click on the specific icon. In our case, the card number is S9ASP001999675. Click on the link S9ASP001999675 to download the token with the updated version of the data bank present on the server. Page 22/28

NOTE: IF THE POP UPS ARE NOT ACTIVE (BECAUSE THE PROCEDURE OF THE CH. 1 HAS NOT BEEN EXECUTED) A WARNING MESSAGE INDICATING THAT YOU MUST ACTIVATE POP UPS WILL APPEAR. BY PRESSING THE OK BUTTOM, TOKEN WILL NOT BE DOWNLOADED AND YOU WILL HAVE TO REPEAT ALL THE ENTERING OF THE CUSTOMER DATA. Note: Token NOT downloaded Click on Back to come back to the smartcard page, from where you can restart the procedure. Click on the home icon to come back to the home page of the website. YOU MUST ACTIVATE POPUP DEPENDING ON BROWSER THAT YOU ARE RUNNING. SEE THE CHAPTER 1 POPUP SETTINGS The token download lasts only a few seconds, after which the following indication is displayed (it may vary according to the browser used). The evidence for all SMART CARD updated until 31 st December 2015 is the creation date of the token, accordingly databank of relative date. For all SMART CARD updated starting from 1 st January 2016, the token will be generated with the latest database version in accordingly time of download. The token is generated with the latest data bank version present at download. IMPORTANT: In case of a database update order, verify that creation date of token is prior of the database purchase order, to prevent downloading an outdated token. Once the token is downloaded the star will no longer be there. Page 23/28

Once the token is downloaded, click on Back to go back to the token download page. Now you can download the suggested database, associated with the SMART CARD: Click on the databank icon (in the example STDA110.zip). The site displays the following page, containing the disclaimer to be read carefully and accepted. Page 24/28

Conditions not accepted Non selectable grey icon. Data bank impossible to download If the conditions are not accepted it is not possible to continue the data bank download. Accept both conditions and press on the data bank icon, that now may be selected. Conditions accepted Selectable light blue icon. Download is possible The file.zip named STDA110_DB_Std.zip will be downloaded on the PC. Note: If you see two different databank icons, download both. Page 25/28

When the complete download has finished, close the browser. Select the Download folder on the PC where you have downloaded the files. Look for the token and the databank files. Select the token file and copy it. Plug the USB key supplied with the smartcard. Open the folder AS9 in the USB key and paste the token in there. The USB key now shall contain the certificate, the config and the token, as shown in the picture. Go back on the Download folder. Unzip the databank file: click on its icon with the right button of the mouse and select Extract All. When finished, open the new folder and inside you can find a folder called AS9. For example in our case, the content of a STDA110 is the following: Copy and paste everything in the AS9 folder of the USB data key supplied with the SMART CARD, the same where we have saved the token. The AS9 folder must now contain the certificate, the config, the token and now the database of the machine to install. To update the data bank on the machine please refer to Ch. 3. Page 26/28

5 POSSIBLE ISSUES 5.1 USB key not plugged If the icon of the USB memory key is shown with a red cross on it, then the USB key is not correctly plugged on the wheel aligner PC. Check that the USB memory is key is well plugged on the wheel aligner PC. Press F1 to come back to the logo page. Now press CTRL+W to exit the wheel aligner program. Open the USB memory key folder. If the USB memory key doesn t work, change the USB memory key and repeat the procedure described in chapters 2 and 4. 5.2 AS9 folder missing If it is not possible to see the buttons F3 and F4, then inside the USB plugged on the wheel aligner PC there is no AS9 folder. To create the AS9 folder, follow the procedure described in chapters 2 and 4. Page 27/28

5.3 AS9 folder missing If it is not possible to see the button F4, then inside the AS9 folder on the USB key there are not the databank files. To obtain these files, follow the procedure described in chapters 2 and 4. Page 28/28
