Installing the Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010 software This document will show you the step-by-step procedure for performing the standard standalone installation on an individual workstation. For more information on how to Create Deployments, please refer to the Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010 Help documentation and search for topics - Network Deployment Installation. 1. Please be patient while Setup is initializing. This might take a couple of minutes depending on your system performance.
2. Click Install Products.
3. Select Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010, and then click Next.
4. Make sure you read the License Agreement and click I Accep to continue the installation, or I Rejec to cancel the installation. Then click Next.
5. Enter your serial number, product key and personal information. Then, click Next to continue. Note: The serial number and product key are located on a label on the product packaging.
6. This screen gives you the option to either accept the preset install configuration or configure your install. If the preset configuration visible on this screen does not reflect your needs, click Configure; otherwise you can skip to step #13.
7. Select the Language and Default Units. You can also change the installation folder. To change the default installation folder shown above, either type in a new path, or click Browse, and navigate to the desired folder. To continue, click Next.
8. This screen allows you to download and install content for Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010. We recommend you keep the default content and path. On this and the previous screens you will get information about the space requirements for the downloadable content. To continue, click Next.
9. When prompted to Select the License Type, select the type of license you purchased. a. If you select Stand-alone license, click Next and skip to step 11. b. If you select Network license, go to step 10.
10. If you selected Network license, select the license server model, enter the name of the server that will run the Network License Manager and click Next to continue. Note: For more information on how to Create Deployments, please refer to the Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010 Help documentation and search for topics - Network Deployment Installation.
11. Select the applicable option for including or not including service pack(s), and click Next to continue.
12. Click Configuration Complete.
13. On the Review Configure Install screen, click Install. 14. If the install path that was specified is not empty, you will see message above. Choose Yes to install to this location.
15. Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010 will start to install.
16. Click Finish after the installation is complete. 17. If prompted, choose Yes to restart your system.
Activating Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010 1. Start Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010 by either double-clicking the desktop shortcut or selecting Revit.exe in the program folder. 2. When you first open the software, you may see this Activation dialog. In this screen, choose Activate.
3. On the Register Today screen, select Get an activation code, and click Next.
4. When the software is activated successfully, the Registration Activation Confirmation screen will display your Activation code. Click Finish.
5. After activation is complete, the Product and License Information screen indicates the current status of your license. You can now begin using the activated Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010.
