The Lake Erie College Parker Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program is among the fastest growing and most highly regarded programs in Ohio. In addition to our traditional MBA program and our 11-month accelerated MBA, our customized on-site programs have been selected for use by some of Ohio s largest employers including industry leaders in the areas of manufacturing, healthcare and energy. As a continued effort to accommodate the need for the latest technology, flexibility and convenience of educational opportunities, the Lake Erie College Parker MBA Program classes are now held at the Holden University Center of Lakeland Community College. The Holden University Center is located just off I-90 at the Mentor/Willoughby exit, close to Route 2 and I-271. The Lake Erie College Parker MBA Program was established in 1981 and has since graduated over 1,200 business and non-profit leaders. PATRICK S. PARKER Inspiring Innovation, Empowerment and Entrepreneurship The Lake Erie College MBA Program was named the Parker MBA in memory of the late Patrick S. Parker, chairman emeritus of the Parker Hannifin Corporation. Parker was a global industrialist who believed in innovation, employee empowerment, continuous improvement and entrepreneurship. Under Parker s direction, Parker Hannifin, which was founded by his father in 1918, grew substantially in size, global reach and product breadth. From the 1960s through the 1990s, Parker guided the company s expansion into a wide array of hydraulic, pneumatic and electromechanical products, solidifying its position as the global leader in motion and control technologies. The firm had annual sales of $160 million in 1969 when Parker was named president. Annual sales exceeded $13 billion in 2014. Born in Cleveland in 1929, Parker received a BA from Williams College in WIlliamstown, Massachusettes, and an MBA from the Harvard School of Business in Boston, Massachusettes.

THE PARKER MBA DIFFERENCE Degree completion in as little as 11 months Flexible evening and Saturday classes Convenient location at the state-of-the-art Holden University Center Strong academic reputation Classes taught by professors with both academic and professional experience Variety of learning methods, including discussion, strategic thinking, analytical and teamwork approaches Emphasis on practical application Affordable tuition that fits within most employers reimbursement policies Lifelong Learning Guarantee which provides free ongoing professional development Celebrating its fourth decade, the Parker MBA Program helps students gain viable advantages in competitive workplaces while developing strategic skills as leaders.

PROGRAM OPTIONS Traditional MBA Program With the traditional MBA program you will have maximum flexibility take as many as four courses or just one course per semester. Craft a path and pace to meet your own needs. Most students graduate in approximately two years by taking two courses over six semesters (fall, spring and summer). Each class typically meets once a week in the evening. Accelerated MBA Program Our accelerated option allows you the opportunity to complete your MBA in as little as 11 months. In this program, you will take two courses each Saturday (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) across six seven-week sessions. This is a very rigorous and challenging program intended only for students willing to focus intensely on their graduate studies. If Saturdays are good for you but you only want to take one course at a time, it will take you only 23 months to earn your degree. CPA Candidates If you have an undergraduate degree in accounting (with a GPA of 2.5 or above, and completion of cost accounting with a B or better) and plan to sit for the Ohio CPA exam, you may be eligible for the LEC Accelerated MBA for accounting majors. Under this unique program you can earn the MBA degree by completing 10 courses, rather than the normally required 12, and still earn the 150 college credits required to sit for the exam. It is a great return on investment! Lake Erie College offers a variety of programs to fit your busy work schedule, personal life and budget. Choose to take all of your classes during the week, all of them on Saturdays or a convenient combination of both that works for you! Students can start taking MBA classes at the beginning of any semester August (fall), January (spring) or May (summer).

THE PARKER MBA Healthcare Administration Concentration The concentration in healthcare administration prepares Parker MBA students for staff, managerial and leadership roles in the healthcare industry. The nine credit hours in the healthcare administration concentration cover topics including the U.S. healthcare delivery system, healthcare financing, policy, legal and ethical issues and the effective management of healthcare organizations. The concentration deals with the application of business concepts to the healthcare industry in a broad context, covering not only provider organizations such as hospitals, but also other industry participants such as pharmaceutical and medical technology enterprises. Accreditation Lake Erie College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and the MBA program is accredited by the International Assembly for College Business Education (IACBE). Fewer than ten percent of business programs have achieved the quality assurance that IACBE accreditation provides. Curriculum Business professionals need a foundation in general management and leadership skills that can be applied to a wide range of industries for-profit and not-for-profit, large and small. Lake Erie College offers a general management track MBA along with a concentration in healthcare administration. Nine core requirements and three elective courses totaling 36 credit hours of academic work are required to complete your MBA.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: Do I need to take the GMAT or GRE exam? A: For the majority of applicants the GMAT or GRE is not required. If you have an undergraduate cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale, the GMAT or GRE is not necessary. In other cases, the GMAT may be required at the discretion of the Dean of the School of Business, depending on factors such as the trend in your grades, your undergraduate major and your work experience. Q: Is the Parker MBA Program available online? A: The Parker MBA Program is conducted in a classroom-based, face-to-face setting to facilitate the types of interaction and personal development that are still at the core of developing organizational leadership and management skills. From time to time, an appropriate elective course is offered completely online. Q: My undergraduate degree is not in business. Will I have to take additional classes? A: Students who do not have an educational background in business, and those whose business experience is limited, may be required to begin the program with a foundation course. Q: Will I receive credit if I completed graduate courses from another college/university? A: Yes. You may request approval to transfer up to six semester hours or the equivalent of two courses from graduate study completed at another accredited college or university. To be eligible for transfer credit, you will need to have earned a B or better in those courses and have completed those courses within the last seven years. Q: Is financial aid available to Parker MBA graduate students? A: Students who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) may be eligible for graduate student loan programs. The Lake Erie College FAFSA Code is 003066. Your personal admissions and financial aid counselor will be happy to assist you with the financial aid process.
