Teaching methods By choosing to participate in a French Course at Ecole Napole on, you are expressing the desire to discover 'the real French language'. This is why our methodology is based on lively and real-life activities and approach to the French language. It enables you to acquire a wide knowledge of the language and to develop your communication skills. Our teachers, who are all vital elements of our teaching methods, are French native speakers. They all have University degrees and will do their best to improve your French language skills and give you assistance so that your French Course at Ecole Napoleon is of maximum benefit to you. Our teachers use a wide range of books (French Methods) and documents from France, French activities with videos, etc... - which aim to stimulate the student to learn and to speak French. To help you in your daily work, you can use one of the many CD-ROM French programs or books at your disposal. A teacher specialised in the latest disciplines will help you choose interesting books in your field. Our teachers ensure that the students actively participate and speak the French language at least 80% of the class-time. Each student receives a special exercise book and the necessary help to learn French. Tailored courses for closed groups Should you require a special course, we can set up a program adapted to the specific needs of your group (professional consulting, preparation for exams...). In addition, we can organize a complete programs of excursions and visits to France.

The training process: maximum progress in the shortest possible time! Levels Our program consists of 13 to 15 levels, we can accommodate from absolute beginners to those fluent in French. Each session lasts a minimum of 90 minutes. Our teachers can come to your office as frequently as you require, typically once, twice or three times per week per group /student. Every course is tailor-made to your specific requirements based on a language needs analysis and assessment. Training focuses on building key communication skills in French. C U R R I C U L U M Our French program is composed of 3 stages (more than 13 different levels in total), ranging from an absolute beginner level to an advanced level for fluent speakers and writers. In addition to these levels, L École Napoléon de Toronto also offers specialized classes at the advanced level. The following is a synopsis of the courses offered by École Napoléon. A placement test prior to registration is necessary in order to ensure that all students are placed at the appropriate level. Stage I : is completed after the 4 levels. Stage I: Beginner Levels A 1 A 6 The beginner stage is focused on the introduction of basic French grammar including business vocabulary. The purpose of this stage is to introduce the correct usage of the present, future and past tenses, which will enable students to converse in social and business settings. By the end of this introductory stage, students will be able to express themselves in the above stated tenses. Aside from the oral component of this stage, writing exercises will also be used to reinforce the oral language by learning grammar, conjugation, spelling... Stage II: is completed after the 4 levels. Stage II: Intermediate Levels B 1 B 6 In continuation of Stage I, the focus of Stage II is to build on the material explored during the introductory stage. These levels strive to introduce students to more complex grammatical structures and to enrich their vocabulary. Students will be introduced to the rules and notions of complex grammatical tenses such as the imperfect, the pluperfect, the conditional, the subjunctive and others complex tenses, expressions and vocabulary that differ slightly from those in English. The intermediate levels improve the oral communication skills and also focus on the written aspect of the language at a more advanced level with a practical, business-orientated approach for professionals. Various courses. - Depending on the student`s needs - Stage III: Advanced Level Courses At this stage, the students have a good comprehension and specific needs. This level offers different courses. C1 is oral expression reinforcement with grammar and writing expression exercises. Working themes are chosen in function of your business activity. C2 is a conversation class. In this course, students will discuss topics related to current events in a relaxed setting. By debating, students will broaden their vocabulary while strengthening their oral fluency. We even offer special courses, designed according to your specific needs. All levels are taught in accordance with our communicative method that focuses on conversational French and emphasizes on the active participation of the students.

Registration Depending on your level of French, you could be starting as early as next week or later on with another group. P O L I C I E S & R E G U L AT I O N S Payment The payment for all courses has to be done in total not later than 10 business days after the first class. All teaching materials (like books, exercise books etc) are not included in these fees and have to be paid separately. Method of payment Payments can be made by cash, Cheque, MasterCard or Visa, payable to E cole Napole on. Corporate Discounts: Employees of corporations who participate in EN s Corporate program may receive a discount ranging from 10%-20% depending on their employer s level of participation. The discount is valid for employees only and cannot be extended to family or friends. A valid form of company ID must be presented to EN staff upon registration. Cancellations In case of a class cancellation E cole Napole on has to be informed at least 24 hours in ad- vance. If the notice has not been received in time, the class will be billed at the normal rate. Suspension of courses The courses can be suspended for a maximum period of 10 business days. Absence and Make-up classes Students who were absent from more than 2 classes, will have to take make-up classes in order to reach the superior level. For this purpose, individual classes are available upon demand at a reduced price of $54.00 an hour for an individual, and $65.00 per hour for two to three people. Students are permitted to purchase up to five hours of one-on-one make-up classes with an instructor. Scheduled and finalized make-up classes cannot be rescheduled or refunded. Termination of the contract If the contract is terminated, the E cole Napole on will refund the amount of fees corresponding to the number of courses that were not given on the basis of the fees charged per hour. An administrational fee of 10% will be deducted from the total reimbursement. No refunds are given for exams, translations or workshops. Books are non-refundable. A 50% tuition credit will be given for Workshops that are cancelled in writing at least 3 business days before the workshop. No credits are given for exams. Course Cancellations & Changes Ecole Napoleon reserves the right to cancel classes and workshops, adjust the curriculum, and to change teachers during sessions if necessary without advanced notice. Courses are typically cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, unavailability of an instructor, or inability to schedule appropriate instructional space. If your course is cancelled, you will be notified by telephone or email and given other options.
