TEACHING EXPERIENCE I regularly teach International Politics (Basic course) and Theories of Institutions and Governance (Master course) at the Dept. of Political Science, Stockholm University. I have also held lectures and seminars on EU Foreign and Security policies at the Swedish National Defence College, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain) and University of Liverpool (UK). EXTERNAL RESEARCH GRANTS 2008-2010, European Foreign and Security Policy Studies (EFSPS) Programme The programme was funded by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (Sweden), Volkswagen Stiftung (Germany) and Compagnia di San Paolo (Italy). Within the programme and during the period 2008-2010, I did a research project on civil protection cooperation in the Mediterranean region, involving both EU member states and non-members. The grant allowed me to conduct research abroad at European Policy Centre in Brussels (September- December 2008), Institut Universitari d Estudis Europeus at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (February-July 2009), and Europe in the World Centre at the University of Liverpool (April-May 2010). RESEARCH INTERESTS My main research interests include theories of International Relations and European integration (especially Constructivist theories and methodologies), security studies, EU Foreign and Security Policy, Euro-Mediterranean relations (especially EU-North Africa) and Spanish foreign and security policies.
