Range of Services 3 Mobile Train Radio Systems For the operation of railways, communication equipment is necessary on railway vehicles. Train radio systems form the basis of economical, safe operation between the vehicles and the stationary users. Modern railway vehicles move throughout all continents, through different systems and across borders. Europe is currently in the process of technological harmonisation. In doing so, existing national analogue radio systems are being replaced with the harmonised European GSM-R or TETRA system. For voice services, STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions offers numerous mobile radio systems for individual requirements of vehicle owners. Flexible hardware and software configurations allow individual solutions for usage. In doing so, the transmission technology that currently exists is implemented with modular device platforms. Future standards of mobile radio technology have been taken into account in the system concepts and can be adapted. STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions provides various communication equipment for use in railways. The solutions offered by STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions are impressive due to their high degree of innovation. Our many years of technical know-how and expertise are highly valued by customers and the products impress with quality and optimum cost efficiency. The driving forces for further developments are practical experience in different radio networks, proximity to customers and a high degree of development expertise. Flexible concepts and possibilities for usage, proximity to customers and solution-orientated engineering constitute the strengths of STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions. This forms the basis of all current and future train radio products. The new TRS6000 train radio family from STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions is one of the most innovative products on the market and sets the milestone in the portfolio of functions and products. The proven CGR3000 train radio system and its components are currently in use throughout Europe on various railway vehicle models. The TFZ21 train radio system with its analogue country modules is the perfect supplement to the GSM-R product range from STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions.

4 STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions Mobile Train Radio Systems TRS6000 The TRS6000 from STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions is based on the future requirements of the GSM-R network operators, railway companies and railway vehicle manufacturers, incorporating findings and experiences gleaned from the CGR3000 generation. The TRS6000 was developed for customers all over Europe using the experience of over three decades of development and service in the train radio field. A highly compact and flexible train radio system has been developed, which is also optimally equipped for future applications. The TRS6000 has different interfaces, digital inputs and outputs and the possibility of connecting analogue train radio systems. CGB611x central device The TRS6000 works with a modern multi-tasking operating system (Linux). The applications for different countries with different languages and features work completely independently of one another and simplify the different approval processes throughout Europe. Changes to one of the (country) applications do not affect other software. The system is thus non-reactive and additional applications can be added. The service applications are 100% web-based and thus compatible with all computer systems that support Ethernet, regardless of the computer s operating system. The basis of the TRS6000 product platform is the modular design of the system architecture, combined with the certainty that the materials and components used correspond to modern fire safety requirements of modern railway vehicles and the lifecycle requirements of the vehicle owners. CHI6200 human interface A GSM-R modem (improved MRM) is used for the first time in the TRS6000, which is notable due to its optimum radio behaviour in terms of stability, blocking and interference. Requirements for an extended frequency spectrum (3 MHz) have already been met. The platform of TRS6000 supports the use of TETRA communication networks with the central unit CTB615x. As a result of the use of the most up-to-date construction elements, the central device (CGB) can be universally fitted into the vehicle through convection ventilation. The construction allows installation in a 19 3HE/26TE or 6HE/52 TE rack. Product Lines 5 TRS6000M The portable TRS6000M is the compact version of the TRS6000 device platform. With the TRS6000, STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions is introducing a compact train radio system to the market for the first time; it meets the requirements of modern railway communication technology. The components are highly-available and operation is the same as for the TRS60000 known and proven in railway operation. The TRS6000 is notable due to complete GSM-R functionality and is based on the proven components of the TRS60000 train radio family. The portable TRS6000M can be used throughout Europe as it only uses approved hardware and software. There are no separate software certifications and hardware tests necessary in order for the TRS6000M to be able to be used as a fully-fledged solutions for various uses. The use of a portable train radio system with compact dimensions and a low weight with complete GSM-R functionality creates the basis for use as a temporary solution on vehicles. All common on-board power supplies on railway vehicles can be used directly. Existing vehicle antenna systems can be used. The TRS60000M is suitable for use as a test system, as a replacement system during repairs, for construction vehicles, delivery drives or historic vehicles, as well as system tests and demonstrations. 6 STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions Mobile Train Radio Systems CGR3000 The CGR3000 cab radio supports, for the first time, the migration of existing radio equipment to the GSM-R system with a future-orientated concept. The base variant already integrates all primary functions of a modern GSM-R single-mode device in accordance with the EI- RENE standard. Based on many years of experience in the field of professional radio systems for railway operation, all components have been fully developed in-house. The CGR3000 control unit meets the requirements of a modular and highly-integrated hardware design. All basic functions can be incorporated into a base housing (260 x 260 x 65 mm). As a result of a minimum amount of space being required, there is the optional possibility to integrate the system into current vehicle platforms with a 19 rack expansion. Exiting radio systems on the vehicle can be connected, to expand it into a functional combined item of equipment. The contrast-rich full-graphic colour display in the control units sets the standard for European users. Supported by several languages and integration of the European character set/ pictograms, travel beyond borders is possible without limitations. Dual-mode assembly rack Requirements such as EBuLa can be integrated without additional user software. Modern vehicle interfaces are implemented by means of external interfaces. CAN-Bus technology allows use on locomotives with a single-device concept for the first time. Railway companies in Europe use STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions products on existing vehicles as well as new vehicle platforms. Product Lines 7 TFZ21 The TFZ21 train radio device has, as a result of the requirements of European railways, a number of national functions for use in analogue radio systems. In use for many years, the ZFM21 train radio system connects the different analogue radio systems in Europe as a result of a high degree of usage. This ensures that the radio standards on trains are supplemented and constitutes an optimal solution for the operator if required. STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions is thus creating an economic solution for the vehicle user in order to be able to operate routes throughout Europe. The fully-duplex-compatible train radio device TFZ21 uses the frequencies in the 450 MHz band and signalling in accordance with the UIC 751-3 standard. As a result of intelligent connections, digital train radio devices from STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions can be economically and efficiently supplemented at any time. Further requirements in the 160 MHz band are covered, so that most requirements from the extended European train networks can be used. As a result of the technical expertise of STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions, it will also be possible to have further requirements of European railways incorporated into the products in the future. In the future, for economic reasons, the railway operators in Europe will also be able to use analogue radio technology and economically combine this with the next generation of radio technology. STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions offers proven product technology for these requirements, with individual country modules that have a unique range of functions on the market and which are widely adopted by users.
