Introduction This white paper covers configuring Microsoft Network Load Balancing (NLB) for use with 2X ApplicationServer XG Secure Client Gateway for enterprise environments with more than 300-500 concurrent users connecting to multiple 2X Secure Client Gateways though gateway mode. Network Diagram 3

Install Microsoft NLB Install the NLB feature using Windows Server Manager on a single network card. Make sure that TCP/IPv4 is the only Protocol in use. The NIC should only have one static IP address assigned to it and it should be done at the properties page of the IPv4 setup page. 4

Configuring Microsoft NLB Once this have been completed; on all nodes, go to the Administrative Tools menu and start the NLB Manager There click on cluster and New. 5

Once the new cluster dialog box appears enter the IP address of any node that is going to be in the Cluster and click the Connect button. When the scan is complete is will show the server in the bottom screen with the available interface and IP address highlighted. Click Next button. Highlight the IP address and click Next button. 6

At the new cluster dialog box click the Add button to add the new cluster. Enter the IP4 IP address and subnet mask for the cluster. Click the OK button. Then click the Next button. *This must be on the same segment and subnet as the nodes in the cluster Enter the full internet name, change cluster operation mode to multicast, click the Next button. 7

Leave the default port rule as is or add your own and delete the default. Once you have finished click the Finish button. Now you can add the other nodes to the cluster. 8

Configuring 2X Secure Client Gateway In the 2X ApplicationServer XG Console go to Farm, Gateway, Properties, Advance Tab select All available addresses for the binding. 9
