National Student Survey results - 2013 The National Student Survey (NSS) is an annual assessment of how university final year students rate their studies. Strathclyde Business School as a whole has scored above the sector averages in ALL of the NSS categories. Our average score across our key business subject areas in terms of students overall satisfaction, (elements such as teaching, assessment and support throughout studies) was 92%.
Enterprising Pioneer of the MBA, being the first UK business school to launch: a full-time 1 year MBA (1966) a part-time MBA programme (1976) a distance learning programme (1983) a DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) (1988) In 2012, launched a new MSc Global Energy Management the first of its kind in the UK. In 2014, launched MSc Leadership in Global Sustainable Cities the first leadership programme of its kind, globally. Our latest international ventures are developing strategic partnerships in UAE, France, US, China and Spain.
International Strathclyde MBA moved into many new countries over 20 years ago. Currently, 9 international centres, in Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia. In 2012, the first intake of the Executive Masters in Hospitality and Tourism Leadership an industry led programme, partnering with Cornell University, New York and Ecole Hoteliere, Lausanne, Switzerland. In 2013, we launched a bespoke MBA in Global Energy for senior managers of Iberdrola and ScottishPower management, in partnership with ICADE Business School, Spain Currently, SBS has 103 international partnerships with other leading universities and business schools, resulting in some 350 exchanges Our postgraduate community in Glasgow comprises over 80% international students with over 40 different nationalities. In 2012 SBS signed two Strategic Partnerships with French Business Schools SKEMA and EM LYON SBS is now part of the Triangle network an influential consortium of triple accredited international business schools
Engaging Executive Education has grown significantly since the formation of our Centre for Corporate Connections in 2011. Currently, income is up 20% on 2012/13 figures, achieving 1.7 million. On-going partnership with Babcock Academy since 2005, delivering management education to managers across the entire Babcock International Group and the launch of the Babcock MBA in 2013. To date over 800 global Babcock participants! Launch of MBA25 in 2011, a bespoke MBA in partnership with Wm Grant & Sons, now into its 2nd successful cohort Delivery of Weir Business Management Programme for Weir Group managers from across Europe to Russia, Canada, India, South America, Asia and Australia. Ongoing Executive education work with clients include Senergy, Standard Life and Alliance Trust Deloitte, Procter and Gamble, Ernst & Young continue to sponsor our Management Development programme at undergraduate level International advisory boards - UK based and UAE-based.
