Teaming with Our Community Before & After School Care At Every School District of Lancaster Elementary School

About Our Program /// The Lancaster Rec Before and After School Care program provides state-certified child care for children whose parents are working or are in training. Our goal is to provide an enriching, safe environment for children to participate in funfilled learning activities which promote creativity, social skills and independence, while receiving quality care by a caring and nurturing staff. Our Before and After School Care program staff plans and conducts activities and lessons to support each child s development and learning. The goals of our activity-based curriculum are to help children meet state standards in academic areas, reinforce classroom learning, improve social and communication skills and help children be more physically active. Children play outdoors (weather permitting), make craft projects and get help with homework. Children in Grade K5 through Grade 5 are welcome. Children in Grade 6 and Grade 7 at E.R. Martin may also attend. Only students who attend School District of Lancaster elementary schools are eligible to attend our programs.
