The closing date for entry is the 31st May 2015. Following on from the continued success of previous years, entries will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis. You are advised therefore to forward your application as soon as possible. Please note however, that in the event that some age groups are oversubscribed, those clubs that have entered 2 or more teams in the same age group may have their entry numbers reduced, even if they submitted their application before the closing date. You will receive email confirmation of your entry and a set of tournament rules by early June. For age groups U7 & U8 the format will be 5-a-side with squads of up to 10 players and will be a Festival Format competition with all players receiving a commemorative medal to mark their participation in our tournament. For age groups U9 to U16 inclusive and Girls U13/14 the format will be 6-a-side with squads of up to 8 players. Crofton Saints Youth FC Tournament 2015 Rules 1. The tournament will be run in ten age groups: Under 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 & 16 over a two-day period. 2. All players must comply with their respective age qualification conditions for SEASON 2014/15 AGE GROUPS. 3. Team Managers are to report to the tournament control position to hand in the list of their declared team members at least 30 minutes before the first game. Any team failing to do so may be ruled out of the tournament. 4. The Laws of Association Football shall apply, with the following exceptions: a. For age groups U7 and U8 up to 10 (ten) players may be nominated in a squad from which 5 (five) shall be chosen to play at any one time. b. For age groups U9 to U16 inclusive and Girls U13/14 up to 8 (eight) players may be nominated in a squad from which 6 (six) shall be chosen to play at any one time. c. Rolling subs for all age groups may be made at any stage of the game with the permission of the Referee. d. No player will be allowed to represent more than one team. e. There will be no offside. f. Goalkeepers are permitted to kick the ball out of their hands at all age groups. g. Goal kicks U7 to U10 Goal kicks will be taken from the edge of the penalty area. U11 to U16 Goal kicks will be taken from the goal line. h. Reatreat Rule U7 to U10 inclusive will observe the retreat rule. Opponents must retreat to their own half until the ball is in play. The defending team does not have to wait for the opposition to retreat and has the option to restart the game before should they choose to. The ball is in play when it is kicked directly out the penalty area. i. Penalty kicks will be taken from the penalty spot for all age groups. j. The HOME team will kick off. k. When a free kick is awarded, all opposing players must retire at least 5 (five) yards. l. If the goalkeeper leaves the penalty area he/ she is then treated as any other player. 5. The durations of play will be: U7 & U8 4 minutes each way (8 minutes in total) per game U9 to U16 inclusive and Girls U13/14 5 minutes each way (10 minutes in total) during the Preliminary League Games and 6 minutes each way (12 minutes in total) during the Quarter, Semi and Finals stages of the tournament. There will be no half time break. 6. In the event of a draw during the Quarter, Semi and Final stages, a maximum of 3 minutes each way extra time will be played. If there is still no score, then penalties will decide the result. The best of 3 penalties for each team, if still level, then sudden death. The toss of a coin will decide which team takes the first penalty kick with the HOME team to call. The 6 players on the field at the end of extra time are to remain unchanged for the duration of the penalty shoot out. Goalkeepers can take penalties if they wish. 7. During the preliminary league round, points will be awarded as follows: WIN - 3 points DRAW - 1 point LOSE - 0 points In the event of team finishing with the same number of points, the league position will be decided as follows: The team with the best goal difference If still level the team scoring the most goals If still level, then the result(s) against the other level team(s) will be taken into account If still level, then a penalty shoot out in accordance with Rule 6 will take place to decide the winner.
Crofton Saints Youth FC Tournament 2015 Rules 8. Any player sent off the field of play or receives two cautions during the tournament will take no further part in the tournament. 9. In the event of teams playing in the same colours the AWAY team will change. 10. The HOME team will be responsible for supplying a suitable size match ball as follows: U7 to U9 - Size 3 U10 to U14 - Size 4 U15 & U16 - Size 5 11. In the event of opponents failing to turn up, the team not at fault will be awarded 3 points. However, no score will be recorded for the win. 12. In the event of the tournament being called off due to inclement weather, all monies will be equally distributed to all participating teams after any incurred expenses have been met. 13. Any appeals must be lodged with the organisers no later than 10 minutes after the conclusion of a match along with a 20 payment which will be refunded if the appeal is successful. The Team Manager will be the only official recognised by the organisers. 14. The Referee will be the sole arbiter and his decision on all points of play will be final. 15. Following completion of each match it is the responsibility of the HOME team manager to collect the result card from the referee and return it to the control position. 16. Admission to the tournament will be charged at 1 per adult including team managers, assistant managers and coaches). Children aged 16 years and under will be admitted free of charge. 17. All vehicles parked at the tournament do so at thier owners own risk. Crofton Saints YFC and Crofton School can accept no responsibility for loss or damage to any vehicle (or property within) parked on the Crofton School site. 18. No dogs, no BBQs, no smoking and no alcohol whatsoever are permitted anywhere on the tournament site.
