CQB USER GUIDE_Layout 1 6/25/15 3:24 PM Page 2 Congratulations on choosing a quality low-power CQB riflescope from Burris. Whether you purchased an MTAC, SkullTac, or Fullfield TAC30, you will enjoy the following features: Ideal Magnification for CQB Shooting. 1x magnification allows for close-in, both-eyes-open shooting, while 4x magnification allows engagement of mid-distance targets. High Performance Glass. Provides excellent brightness and clarity with lasting durability exactly what you expect from Burris. Index-Matched, Hi-Lume Multi-Coated Lenses. CQB USER GUIDE_Layout 1 6/25/15 3:24 PM Page 3 How To Use Your Riflescope Eyepiece Focusing The eyepiece can be focused so that the reticle appears sharp and black to any individual s eye. Adjusting the focus is quick and easy to do, just follow this procedure: 1. Point the scope at the sky or a plain wall and take a quick glance through the scope. If the reticle appears sharp and black, no further adjustment is necessary. 2. If the reticle does not appear sharp and black, take quick glances through the scope while rotating the eyepiece focus ring until the reticle pattern is sharp and black. NOTE: Do not look through the eyepiece as you turn the focus ring. Your eyes will adjust to the out-of-focus condition. 2

CQB USER GUIDE_Layout 1 6/25/15 3:24 PM Page 4 Windage/Elevation Adjustment The windage and elevation knobs on Burris 1-4x models are designed for precise adjustment. The knobs are calibrated so that 1 click =.5 MOA. Both dials can be reset to 0 once the scope is sighted-in. Once you have successfully zeroed your scope, you can set the zero on your dials with these simple steps: 1. With turret caps removed, grip or press down on knob top firmly and keep knob from turning. 2. Put pen or other small object into the small hole located on the dial, 180º from 0. 3. Keeping firm grip or pressure on the knob, use the pen to turn the dial back to zero, lining up the number zero with the white indicator dot. Only the numbered dial should move do not allow the entire knob to move or else you will alter your windage and elevation zero settings. NOTE: You do not have to set the zero on your dials for your scope to function properly. Doing so can give you peace of mind that your zero is set, plus you can easily confirm if it has moved at any time, but this step is optional. 3

CQB USER GUIDE_Layout 1 6/25/15 3:24 PM Page 5 Illuminated Reticle Adjustment Rotary Illumination for MTAC & SkullTac Illumination makes it easier to see the reticle in low light conditions. The intensity of the illumination is controlled by a rotary illumination switch located on the left side of the adjustment turret. The switch has 10 intensity levels and an Off position in between each level. The reticle is powered by a 3-volt lithium cell battery #CR2032. To install a new battery, simply unscrew the battery cap on the rotary switch and install the new battery flat side (+) up. It is advisable to remove the battery for long-term storage (over a month). Digital Dimmer Switch for Fullfield TAC30 The digital dimmer switch is a rubber button located on the left side of the adjustment turret on top of the battery cap. The digital dimmer switch requires a firm push to activate or change intensity levels. The required pressure prevents accidental changes in illumination levels. Battery Cap Rubber Button 4

CQB USER GUIDE_Layout 1 6/25/15 3:24 PM Page 6 Depressing the button once activates the illumination to the same intensity as the last time it was used. Each time the button is pressed, the illumination will either increase or decrease intensity. There are 8 intensity levels. To reverse the direction of intensity, hold the button down for 3 seconds and then depress the button until the desired illumination is achieved. To turn the illumination off, depress and hold the button down while looking through the scope until the light turns off (5 seconds). To conserve power, it automatically turns off two hours after its last use. The illumination is powered by a 3-volt lithium cell battery #2032. To install a new battery, simply unscrew the battery cap and install the new battery flat side (+) up. It is advisable to remove the battery for long-term storage (over a month). Mounting the Scope These Burris 1-4x riflescopes require 30mm rings. We recommend using high-quality rings and bases, like the Burris Xtreme Tactical Rings and Xtreme Tactical Bases. Quality components ensure that your scope will remain safely and securely mounted, and will provide the maximum accuracy. Use care when mounting your scope as improper mounting can damage your scope. 5

CQB USER GUIDE_Layout 1 6/25/15 3:24 PM Page 7 Care & Maintenance Burris 1-4x riflescopes are fully waterproof and fogproof. In the event that the lenses are subjected to dust, dirt, or mud, follow these steps to clean and protect the lens surface. Failure to remove grit before final cleaning is sure to damage lens coatings. Coarse dirt/debris must be removed from the lens surface. The most convenient way to clean a lens surface is to use a Lens Pen. Position the scope so particles will fall away from the lens, and then use the Lens Pen or soft brush to gently whisk away the debris while blowing on the lens to dislodge the particles. For heavy dirt, like dried mud, use a spray of clean water or lens cleaning fluid to remove the dirt. Your Burris riflescope will provide reliable performance given reasonable care and treatment. All moving assemblies are permanently lubricated. Only occasional cleaning of the outside of the scope and the exterior lenses is required. Never disassemble your scope. Disassembly by anyone other than our factory will void the warranty. If you have any other problems with your riflescope, contact Burris Customer Service. 6
