Master s Degree Informatics The Master s degree programme for Informatics commences with a series of in-depth study subjects, which building on the Bachelor s degree programme serve to present aspects of Informatics at a state-of-the-art level, thus providing students with a well-grounded overview over the entire discipline. Progressing from here, students can conduct further in-depth study in a specialist area of their own choosing. This subject immersion is rounded off and completed with a Master s thesis. Most courses in the Master s programme are taught in English, particularly when there are international students present. This also helps to prepare German-speaking students for a professional career in the international arena. Students wishing to specialise in the area of ecommerce, have the opportunity to earn the ebusiness Certificate by completing supplementary courses. Selections can be made from the following range of specialist subjects: Application Engineering, Computational Linguistics, Computer and Network Architecture, Data and Knowledge Engineering, Distributed Systems, Information and System Security, Intelligent Information Systems in Production, Operation and Management, Interactive Systems and Software Engineering.
