APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Only complete application files will be considered. Items cannot be missing. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS The deadline to apply for a scholarship is October 15, 2016 for an award to be distributed in Spring Semester 2017. To apply for any scholarship, you must meet the criteria for that scholarship. Please see the list of scholarships (page 3). Students who will be participating in the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Program (PSEO) during this academic year are ineligible for scholarships. A 2016 high school senior/graduate IS eligible. Any student awarded an Anoka-Ramsey Community College Cambridge Campus scholarship must attend the Anoka- Ramsey Community College Cambridge Campus for the number of credits specified for that scholarship. On-line courses must have a location of Cambridge Campus. Full-time is always considered 12+ credits per semester unless otherwise stated. Part-time is always 6-11 credits per semester unless otherwise stated. Students will also be expected to complete their coursework and maintain the GPA specific to the awarded scholarship. Follow These Steps Carefully! 1. What type of applicant are you: a. 2016 high school senior Ask your high school records office to place your transcript in a sealed envelope, stamped on the back, and include this in your materials. You may ask your high school to send an official transcript to the Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Cambridge Campus Foundation Office, Attn: Scholarship Committee, 300 Spirit River Dr, Cambridge, MN 55008. Request your high school counselor or principal to write a letter of recommendation for you addressing your character and skills, and place this with your materials. b. 2015/2014 recent high school senior Ask your high school records office to place your transcript in a sealed envelope, stamped on the back, and include this in your materials. You may ask your high school to send an official transcript to the Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Cambridge Campus Foundation Office, Attn: Scholarship Committee, 300 Spirit River Dr, Cambridge, MN 55008. c. Other (21 + years) Go on to step 2. 2. If you have completed college credits at a college other than ARCC, submit your college transcript by making a request at that institution and having them send the official transcript to: Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Cambridge Campus Foundation Office, Attn: Scholarship Committee, 300 Spirit River Dr, Cambridge, MN 55008. Do NOT request your ARCC transcript. 3. ACT scores (ACT scores are optional). If your transcript does not have this and you want it included, you are not required to, but may, submit a copy. 4. Complete the Personal Information section and Applicant s Verification (white insert). 5. On separate paper, complete all sections described on the back of the application. Include your name at the top of each page and title each section. Submit all writing requirements with this completed application. Scholarships Available Apply by October 15, 2016 PSEO students cannot receive a scholarship if receiving PSEO funding during Spring 2017. Recipients must be enrolled on the Cambridge Campus according to the scholarship criteria. The scholarship award will be applied toward recipients tuition Spring 2017 semester upon GPA evaluation and enrollment in Cambridge Campus credits. An individual can receive only one Cambridge Foundation scholarship per academic year, for no more than three years. Recipients must complete 12 or more Cambridge Campus credits to be considered full-time, unless otherwise specified. Part-time students must complete a minimum of six Cambridge Campus credits. The following scholarships will be applied toward recipients' Spring 2017 tuition. NEW! PRESIDENTIAL ($2,000) Open to All Applicants If a high school senior or recent high school graduate, student must have a cumulative 3.0+ high school GPA Plan to maintain a cumulative 3.0 or more college GPA credits (This scholarship is renewable the second year at half the value, provided criteria has been met.) NEW! DEAN ($1,500) Open to All Applicants If a high school senior or recent high school graduate, student must have a cumulative 3.0+ high school GPA Plan to maintain a college cumulative 3.0 or more college GPA credits (This scholarship is renewable the second year at half the value, provided criteria has been met.) GENERAL FOUNDATION Several Awards for up to $1,000 (12+ CREDITS @ $1,000)/(6 TO 11 CREDITS @ $500) Demonstrate community service in Part A of application Have a cumulative 2.5 GPA, if available credits for $1,000 or 6-11 Cambridge Campus credits for $500 Plan to maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA FACULTY (1 Award for up to $1,000) NEW! Answer the following questions in approximately no more than 400 words and using your best writing skills Why is this scholarship important to you at this time in your life, as a student, a family member and a citizen? How will this scholarship allow you to give back to society? 3. Do not staple your document, but you may paper clip your document 4. Add it to this application.
