3. Installation JDK1.6 and Tomcat Server Here we are illustrating the guidelines to install and configure the Tomcat 6.0.10, as a standalone web server only for Microsoft Windows. Please Note: Apache Tomcat is sometimes referred, as Jakarta Tomcat. Step 1: Installation of JDK: Install JDK1.6 on your system located in installation CD (if not installed already) and set the class path as described in step 2. o Alternate installation of Sun JDK. The latest version of Sun JDK can be found on Sun s website at: https://cds.sun.com/is-bin/intershop.enfinity/wfs/cds- CDS_Developer-Site/en_US/-/USD/ViewProductDetail- Start?ProductRef=java_ee_sdk-5_07-jdk-6u16-oth-ml-JPR@CDS- CDS_Developer Step 2: Setting the class path variable for JDK: There are two methods to set the class path. Set the class path using the following Command at command prompt. o Set PATH= C:\ProgramFiles\Java\jdk1.5.0_08\bin ;%PATH% o The other way of setting the class path variables are: o Right click on the My Computer->properties->advance- >Environment Variables-> path. o Edit PATH Variable and append the following C:\ProgramFiles\Java\jdk1.5.0_08\bin Step 3:Installation process of Tomcat 6.0.10: o Tomcat comes in two forms:.zip file or the Windows installer (.exe file). Here we are describing the installation process by using the.exe file (Located in Installation CD). The directory o To Start Installation Double click on \\ADS\ICC\tomcat\apachetomcat-6.0.16.exe. Choose the location for the Tomcat files as per your convenience. You can also choose the default location. Now choose the port number on which you want to run the tomcat server. Tomcat uses 8080 as its port. We recommend you to use port 80, since this will allow user to access ICC Application with out entering port number in browser otherwise the user required to specify the port number in browser. Note: Make note of the port chosen to run Tomcat as this information is required for application access in Section 6 below (Application Login). Example: If you choose the port number 8080, you need to follow URL to access tom cat default page: http//localhost:8080/index.jsp Page 9 of 15

If you choose port 80 you just need the following URL to access tom cat default page http://localhost/index.jsp. Note that we do not need to specify any port number in the URL. Choose User name and password for Web Server Administration Now click on the Next button to continue the installation process. The installation process shows below screen. This window required you to the location of the installed Java Virtual Machine. Browse the location of the JRE folder (Location of JDK Installed in step 1) and click on the Install button. This will install the Apache tomcat at the specified location. Page 10 of 15

Click Finish button to complete the installation. If you check Run Apache Tomcat check box Apache Web server will try to start automatically After successful installation, a shortcut icon to start the tomcat server appears in the icon tray of the task bar as shown below. Double clicking the icon, displays the window of Apache Manager for Tomcat. It might show the Startup type as manual (if you change default installation Location). Setting Environment for Apache Tomcat Page 11 of 15

Step 4: Set JAVA_HOME Variable: Purpose of setting the environment variable JAVA_HOME is to specify the location of the java run time environment needed to support the Tomcat else Tomcat server does not run. This variable contains the path of JDK installation directory. Note that it should not contain the path up to bin folder. Set JAVA_HOME= C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_06 (or where ever you have installed JDK) For Windows XP, Go through the following steps: o Start menu->control Panel->System->Advanced tab->environment Variables->New set the Variable Name as JAVA_HOME and Variable Value as C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_06. It will set the JDK path. Starting and Stopping Apache Tomcat Server Service Start or stop can be done through Control Panel -> Administrator Tools -> Services - > Apache Tomcat Or Start the Tomcat Server: Start the tomcat server from the bin folder of Tomcat6.0 directory by double clicking the tomcat6.exe file. You can also create a shortcut of this.exe file at your desktop. Stop the Tomcat Server: Stop the server by pressing the Ctrl + c keys. 4. ICC Database installation This section explains the steps for installation of ICC Database: Pre-requisite: SQL Server 2005 should be installed and running on Windows Server. Step 1. Follow the steps to create ICC DB and tables in SQL Server: Right click on icc_ddl_v2.3.sql (located under \\ADS\ICC\sql) file in the explorer (release folder) Choose Open with SQL Server. The SQL Server prompts for user id and password. Enter the user-id and password and click OK. Opens the schema in a editable window shown below Page 12 of 15

Next Verify the correct database name & Click on Execute button on the tool bar to create the database tables. The above steps creates ICC database, tables and default system table data required to run the Mapping Manager Application. Step 2. Create a Database Owner / Application User Account on SQL Server. Set the ICC database owner to the user, specifically created for application purpose. Note: It is recommended to create a System User Id for the application to use to login to the database. Analytix Recommends a system user id of: AnalytixMM (or similar according to corporate standards) with full dbo, read, write, update, delete, and execute permission. 1. Note: This is the user account the Mapping Manager Application uses to login to the database. Specific user accounts are created through the Mapping Manager application user interface. 2. Note: Make note of the System User Id and password (created in the step above). This information is needed in step 5C below. Page 13 of 15

5. Deploying ICC Application For the first time ICC Application is a two step process and from the next time onwards, simply proceed with step B Step A: Copy the all files from \\ADS\ICC\lib directory to %TOMCAT_HOME%\lib folder. Step B: Deploy the ICC Web Application (Analytix Mapping Manager) : o Copy icc.war which can be found under \\ADS\ICC\war file to \\Program Files\Tomcat 6.0\webapps (default location) o Now you need to restart Apache tomcat service o Open Control Panel >> Administrator Tools >> Services o Right click on Apache Tomcat restart if its already running if its not already started please start the service Now ICC Application is deployed and ready to use.
