Introduction to BW Industries Ltd Overview BW Industries is a privately owned company providing a comprehensive range of galvanised and fabricated steel components and accessories for the domestic, construction, manufacturing and agricultural sectors. Founded in 1974, we have become recognised as a leading supplier of high quality steel products from our purpose built production centre of over 10500 square meters in the East Riding of Yorkshire, employing over 90 staff. BW has expanded through a programme of continuous improvements, focusing on providing innovative product solutions with value added benefit. From concept and design to manufacture, we are committed to advancing technology, with a high degree of experience establishing improved standards in all aspects and roll forming and steel fabrication. Modern manufacturing demands the highest quality and accuracy on cost competitive components, and recognition of these principles drives our commitment to customer care. This is shown in our continued investment in machinery and manufacturing technology, and our business is focused on achieving market leadership in our main product categories, based on our reputation for innovative design, exceptional quality and technical expertise. Quality We believe that quality of product and service is core to any business, and because of this we achieved BS EN ISO 9002 in May 1999, and have had continual assessment since then by SGS UK. We then achieved the BS EN ISO 9001:2000 accreditation in September 2003 and in September 2009, upgraded to the 9001:2008. We do not believe that this should just be a certificate on a wall, and strive hard to use this standard as a basis to continually improve our systems.

The QMS Scope currently includes the areas below. Engineering Metal forming Cold rolled sections Laser and Plasma work Fabrication Engineered Wall Panels Health and Safety BW Industries recognises the importance of good occupational health and safety standards within the company, to protect its workers, visitors and subcontractors. Because of this we have implemented an occupational health and safety management system that complies with BS OHSAS 18001: 2007. Environmental Environmental issues are becoming more and more of an issue with regards to climate change and global warming, and although we believe that our environmental impacts are low compared to other industries, we should not be complacent and believe that implementing 14001:2004 the Environmental standard was an obvious progression. This was achieved in January 2012 and was accredited by a third party company namely SGS UK. Nick Cox Business Systems Manager February 2012

Commitment to Quality BW Industries Ltd is a company that specialises in engineered metal products, which include the following processes. Continuous Roll Forming, Press Forming, Laser and Plasma Cutting, Punching and Notching, Welding Fabrication and Sub Assembly, and Engineered Wall Panels. The management within BW Industries Ltd have an open commitment to effectively promote all quality issues to its employees, ensuring continued compliance to the BS EN ISO 9001:2008 standard, and any statutory and regulatory requirement, whilst also subscribing to its continuous improvement of Quality, Health and Safety and the welfare of its employees. To enable us as a company to achieve this, the following key objectives have been established. Installation of a new Gasparini Roll Forming machine, to enable the company to diversify into other market areas. Construction of a new stores, Machine shop, Canteen and Toilet facilities. Increase Sales by technical development, both traditional and by e- marketing and renewal of technical literature to increase the markets recognition of BW Industries Ltd and hence improve market penetration. Continued investment in machinery and improvements to systems to enhance the companies capabilities. Continue to enhance the working conditions and environment which will improve the general efficiencies and working atmosphere for all employees. Mike Pugh Managing Director August 2011

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY Our Future in Our Hands November 2011 ENVPOL-02

BW Industries Ltd is an engineering company that operates a multi discipline of activities that include the following. Shearing, Pressing, Cold Roll Forming, Plasma Cutting, Laser Cutting, Engineered Wall Panels and Fabrication. It is recognised that these activities may have an environmental impact, and every effort is made to minimise this. Environment Policy BW Industries Ltd has formulated and will enforce internal procedures in order to comply with BS EN ISO 14001:2004 and any legislative standards affecting the environment. Top management supports this policy and the company s continuous improvement to lowering its carbon footprint where reasonably practicable and preventing pollution. We have a commitment to legal and other requirements and have a framework for the setting and reviewing of company objectives. In addition to legislative requirements, the environmental policy addresses four key issues identified as having the potential for BW Industries Ltd to impact on the environment. This policy will be reviewed every twelve months by senior management to ensure it continues to meet company and logistical requirements. Key issues: Diesel fuel usage Electricity Consumption Lubricants and Chemicals Waste disposal This policy will be reviewed regularly by senior management to ensure it continues to meet company, legal and the requirements of 14001:2004 This policy will be communicated to all staff any third parties necessary. November 2011 ENVPOL-02

1) Diesel Fuel BW Industries Ltd will maintain its fleet of vehicles to meet all statutory standards for smoke emission, and efficiency by the use of regular servicing. BW Industries Ltd has procedures in place for the safe storage of fuel storage and fuelling. (EV- 01) BW Industries Ltd has emergency procedures in place in case of a spill or leak. (EV-02) 2) Electricity Consumption It was recognised that one of the main environmental issues of the company was the quantity of electric that was used. Every effort will be taken to minimise this by the use of power factor correctors, low energy lighting, and the education of staff to switch off machines and lights to minimise consumption. 3) Lubricants and Chemicals The company uses lubricants, coolants and hydraulic oils on various machines. BW Industries Ltd has procedures for the storage and handling of drums of oils to avoid polluting spillage. (EV-03) BW Industries Ltd will maintain its equipment to minimise consumption of oils and coolants. BWIndustries has procedures for the disposal of waste that meet legal requirements. (EV-03) 4) Water and Effluent BW Industries Ltd uses water for very few applications, the usage is akin to domestic usage and we believe does not constitute a major environmental impact. BW Industries Ltd makes every effort to protect water courses from potential pollution from engineering activities, by the use of internal procedures and training. November 2011 ENVPOL-02

6) Waste Disposal BW Industries Ltd activities produce several types of waste of which the main ones are - waste paper from office activities - scrap steel - packaging from engineering supplies (drums, cartons, etc.) - waste oils and lubricants BW Industries has implemented a programme of recycling paper and cardboard waste. Scrap metals are collected for recycling. BW Industries Ltd waste is only disposed of through licensed operators. Where in exceptional circumstances special wastes arise, these are segregated and disposed of separately from main waste using suitably licensed operators. 8) Visual Impact The visual impact of our existing site is generally small as it is situated in commercial and/or industrial areas. In the event that new development is considered, environmental impact assessment, including visual impact will be undertaken.
