XVI MASTER IN HOSPITALITY AND HOTEL MANAGEMENT

MAIN PURPOSE The Hospitality industry is always on the lookout for talented professionals who want to excel and be a part of a highly demanding industry on an international level. This Master aims to provide all its participants with the most important qualities and skills required by hotel management.

APPLICANTS THERE ARE ONLY 25 PLACES AVAILABLE We admit: graduates from every department (with a Bachelor or Master s degree) who are keen to pursue a career in hospitality; employees who are currently working in this sector but who wish to attend a postgraduate course in an international environment; students with a secondary school diploma who are keen to pursue a career in hospitality.

DURATION AND ATTENDANCE The Master in Hospitality and Hotel Management is made up of: 150 hours: full time classes in London (lectures and hotel visits) 20 hours: individual study Internship in London: 3 to 6 months (500 hours minimum), to be completed following tuition. The Master will last for a total of four or seven months and will be divided into two terms. The first month will consist of tuition, followed by an internship of a minimum of three to six months. The classes will run from 23 rd September to 20 th October 2015. Classes will be held in English The programme is full-time, Monday to Friday from 9am - 6pm (with one hour lunch break).

TEACHING BODY Our teachers are highly respected professionals in the London hospitality industry, most of whom have international work experience. They often keep in touch with their students and help them get to know the working environment and network.furthermore, all students will be assigned to a tutor who will remain at their disposal to offer assistance until the end of the Master.

INTERNSHIP Once the class period is over, students will undertake a three to six month internship (500 hours minimum). The start date will depend on the availability of the hotels, which will also be free to decide the terms of the internship (duration, possible salary or spending money etc). The internships will take place exclusively in 4*-5* star hotels.

FEES The Master fee is 3,400 GBP + VAT (20%) and it is possible to pay by installments with 0% interest. Price includes: Return flight to London (either from Rome or Milan, at the beginning and end of the lectures: check-in 22 nd September, check-out 21 st October 2015); Return transfer to accommodation from London airport; Accommodation in London during the first month of course lectures; Lecture material provided in digital format; Personalized placement service in accordance with the job demand; Tutor assistance; Certificate granted by the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the UK.

SCHOLARSHIP Our sponsors provide 15 scholarships of 480 (VAT incl), each to be given on a first-come-first-served basis.

ADMISSION To apply candidates should: send their CV in English via email to master@italchamind.org.uk; submit the online application form; Once the application has been received, the Chamber will contact the candidate via email to arrrange a telephone interview with one of our English native speakers in order to assess the candidate s command of the language. After that the candidate will be informed about success of their application and the possible grant of one of the scholarships. The deadline for submitting applications is when the maximum number of participants has been reached. Considering that there are a limited number of places, the Italian Chamber of Commerce for the UK reserves the right to accept or reject applications. Due to the limited number of participants, the earliest applications are more likely to be successful. Candidates who are admitted onto the Master should pay a of 500 (VAT incl) within 48 hours of being accepted. This is non-refundable if you no longer wish to participate in the Master). CERTIFICATE To be granted the Master certificate, students must attend at least 75% of lectures. The final written test ends the first theoritical part of the Master. It is made up of open-ended questions and its aim is to test how much the students have understood during the lectures. The students will not receive a mark.

ENGLISH ONLY: classes will be held in English to enable students to be prepared for their work environment and learn the sector-specific vocabulary. Our teachers are renowned professionals in the London hospitality industry. ACCOMMODATION FOR FREE: the accommodation is complimentary during the first month of the course. We usually offer studio flats (max. 2 beds), equipped with kitchenette and bathroom.
