Cisco Phone Self Care Portal (ECU VoIP) Configure speed dial numbers, contacts and download a manual for your ECU VoIP phone. Open the Self-Care Portal. Navigate to https://myphone.ecu.edu/ucmuser Log in using your PirateID and passphrase. Menu (1). This horizontal menu has the following options: Phones default menu IM & Availability General Settings Settings (3). Phones is the default menu shown on log in. You will see a phone image and your name/phone number on the screen. Click the settings (gear) icon (No. 3) or the Phone Settings option on the left menu (No. 2) to open the Phone Settings options. From the gear icon you can also download a phone manual. Menu (2). Vertical menu on the left of the screen. Shows options for chosen item in Menu 1. Page 1

General Settings Language and Client/Portal Password options are disabled. The Phone Services PIN* allows access to your personal directory and other settings. *There is also a Voice Services PIN that is set from Outlook File >> Manage Voice Mail to access voice mail, email and calendar items from a phone. IM and Availability Do Not Disturb allows you to disable the ring on your phone. You still see the call on the phone s display, but there is no audible ring. Page 2

Phone Settings Within Phone Settings, you configure speed dial numbers and phone contacts. Services, Ring Settings, Voicemail Notification Settings and Call History are disabled in this menu and are configured through either the physical phone or Online Web App (Piratemail options). Add a Speed Dial Number Click the Add New Speed Dial link. The Edit Speed Dial dialog box opens. Enter the phone number for the speed dial. This does not need to be an ECU number. Just add the digits, no dashes. Add a descriptive label. Add the speed dial number. It is advised to begin with 1, as this prevents the phone from setting up the speed dial as an abbreviated dial*. Click Save. *If you set up an abbreviated dial by setting the speed dial higher than 1, refer to the Cisco user manual for details on this feature. Page 3

The speed dial number now shows under Phone Settings in the portal and on the phone s display screen. To edit or remove a speed dial number, log in to the Cisco Phone Self-Care Portal, Phone Settings and click the edit icon (looks like a pencil) or the delete button to the right of the speed dial entry. Add a Phone Contact Add NON-ECU contacts to your phone s Personal Directory display. ECU numbers are already available through Corporate Directory and Outlook contacts. From the Phone Settings menu, choose Phone Contacts. Click Create New Contact. The Add New Phone Contact dialog box opens. Enter contact information and then click Save. You will see the new contact listed in the Phone Contacts area. As with speed dial numbers, you can edit the contact or delete it from the self-care portal. Page 4

Access your personal directory from your Cisco phone: 1. Click the Directories button 2. Use the down arrow to scroll to Personal Directory 3. Click the Select button 4. Type in your PirateID 5. Type in your Phone Services PIN (see the General Settings section on page 2). Call Forwarding You can forward your phone from the CFwdALL soft key on your phone or through the Cisco Self- Care Portal s Phones >> Call Forwarding option. This works well if you are off campus. From the Call Forwarding dialog box, check the Forward all calls option and choose Voicemail or Add a new number from the drop-down menu. To stop call forwarding, either press the CFwdALL soft key on your office phone or uncheck the box from the online portal. TIP: To forward your phone straight to voice mail from your office phone, enter the 328-9870 number. Page 5
